How much is too much for Jack
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>beantownboy17</b></div><div>That is too much. There's a reason he hasn't been traded yet. He isn't worth what Buffalo is asking. For the next 2 or even 3 years all of those first round picks will be either just before Buffalo's second round pick or no more than 4 picks earlier as Boston will give Tampa a real challenge.
So the the three first round picks are nearly 2nds, but to avoid an argument, I will call them firsts.
The same for the 2nds will all be very late but we will call them 2nds.
DeBrusk from 2 years past looked really good, how about last year, With 5 goals and $3,500,000 salary does that put him into the cap dump catagory?
Vaakanainen a LHD drafted in 2017 (four year ago) has played 16 NHL games, does that put him into the bust catagory
Studnicka a good prospect, the <strong>jewel</strong> of the trade.
Wagner please forgive me Chris, but what does he add to the trade.
Take out DeBrusk, Vaakanainen and Wagner from the trade.
Imagine Studnicka, 3 26th OA draft picks and 3 58th OA draft picks, does that sound like too much for Jack Eichel?

Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuprDave45</b></div><div>This is Eichel's value...<strong>IF he weren't injured and wanting off the ship</strong>. Rangers have no reason to take on all that risk and send this type of package over to Buffalo when they are in an untenable situation.
Can we honestly say Eichel is going to play for Buffalo next season? I can't see it at this point...it would be a giant $H!T show!
If they are insistent on not moving him for less, then he's going to sit out. What's that going to do for his trade value?
Why would the Rangers, or any team, give up this kind of haul for an injured player with a lot of risk who is likely to sit out until he is moved?
Remove Kravtsov, Remove Schneider, install Zach Jones, include 2022 2nd (Rangers have 2, take your pick), include Strome to balance money at least for a season..that's about it.
And then the Rangers get to enjoy some cap headaches moving forward.
If the Rangers were interested in offering more, the deal would have been done already.</div></div>
That is 100% not the value of a healthy Eichel. A healthy Eichel to NYR does not get done without 1 of Laf, Kakko, Miller, ++++.
However, I am not against Chytil, Strome, Schnieder, and a 1st. BUF has 0 use for another LHD prospect unless they plan on trading them.

Eichel Fair Offer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs_and_Sens_Fan</b></div><div>Putting in Suzuki would make this trade useless. The reason the Habs trade for Eichel is to solidfy themselves at centre.
I think that's what it takes to get him. I honestly think the trade improves Montreal in a big way. If you like Suzuki you'll love Eichel. He's a bigger more skilled and more talented version of Suzuki.
Why not?
If they get a legit franchise 1C they are strong in every other position.
Caufield would be playing on the 3rd line, Primeau would be in the AHL and the 2 1sts will be late ones. I don't see why not.</div></div>
Caufield's position next to Suzuki is his to lose. If he does lose it, he's better off getting more time in the AHL and coming back stronger.
This is at least reasonable, but I'd put conditions on the 1sts. Buffalo has legitimate concerns with regards to his surgery and there's at least a possibility we won't get the player we are paying for.
(I also think it should be the player's choice to get the surgery he wants.)

Obviously they tried to offer him more term. But he probably deny it, cause he knows he can earn more money after this contract. The contract for Detroit is good, but for Bertuzzi is way better, if he reaches his upside.

I think the fact Henrique was on waivers for free and no one took him, Anaheim has to retain 2 mill for 3 years or take back a bad contract. Byron is shorter than Henrique. It’s really not bad

Seems like the value is pretty fair to me. We aren't giving up any of our top prospects like Stutzle, Tkachuk, Norris or Batherson.</div></div>
Those guys aren't prospects anymore, though. But I get it, keeping the core intact.
I'd make the 1st round pick Lottery protected. The surgery JE needs will basically keep him out the entire year if not more. That leaves us with basically the same roster as we had last year but against the full might of the Atlantic Division.

Van with the next L on the list
Toffoli could have been in a Canucks Jersey rn along with Tanev
While Van has 26mill in cap space Hughes and Petterson are gonna eat a large portion along with Dickenson. Then they got to replace Holtby. So that space is gonna be gone quickly. Also you got to replace Schmidt and sure they are bringing back Schenn but okay you need a defensively minded top 4 Dman. Dont think were gonna see an improvement in Vancouver's GA.
Demko good luck man
