Description

Eichel. Ottawa has so many prospects, so they can afford to give up some to get Eichel. Their only lack right now is a true 1C for the future. Eichel would solve that, and make the team better as of right now to. Ottawas D is stacked and they could easily afford to give up Brannström, Thompson and FWD Pinto.

A team can’t afford to rely soley on player development, and with this trade, Ottawa shows that theyre serious. The team morale will increase, as well as fan support and overall sales of jerseys etc.

This youthfull team with its new superstar, will be a force in a stacked Atlantic division!

As for the trade itself, BUF gets two Young RHD, a Center with top6 potential, as well as players that can be thrown into the lineup right away! And the 1st rounder also gives them a good shot to draft a good prospect.

Yeah i know right. Melnyk is a bush League owner and should be Forced to sell, but this ACGM is for fun. If Melnyk actually decided to spend bigger amounts of money on this team, they could become a VERY good team!

I can justify moving Pinto and Brannstrom, but I just can't justify moving a 2022 1st, at least without protection. The Sens will be hard pressed to make the playoffs next year even with 82 games of Eichel, which they almost certainly aren't getting this year. Could easily end up a lottery pick, and if you end up being Shane Wright, and that instantly makes this deal a disaster. Maybe I'd do top 5 protected where it flips to next year, but I doubt Buffalo goes for that

I dont see this as an overpay. Colin White is a cap dump.

Brannstrom, Thomson and Pinto are good prospects. 2022 1st will probably be a good pick.

Seems like the value is pretty fair to me. We aren't giving up any of our top prospects like Stutzle, Tkachuk, Norris or Batherson.

I'd make the 1st round pick Lottery protected. The surgery JE needs will basically keep him out the entire year if not more. That leaves us with basically the same roster as we had last year but against the full might of the Atlantic Division.

The Sens were looking solid in the back half of last season but protection would be nice obviously. Maybe top 10 protection or something.
