especially when you have morgan rielly already, I mena obviously karlsson is better than rielly but rielly also lead the league in even strength points by a defenseman a few years ago
btw. i am in no form or fashion saying rielly is better than karlsson

Burke needs to realize his philosophy is flawed and look what happened with every team hes made, Toronto, Vancouver and so on all didnt do much in the playoffs, heck in some occasions he made them worse.
If it wasnt for him Seguin and Hamilton would have been leafs.</div></div>
was tuukka rask in the brian burke era, I keep forgettin? Anyway, if so, tuukka rask would also have been a leaf

Leafs Roster Updated 2020-2021
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MitchMarner_16</b></div><div>147,989th 'Leafs Opening Day Lineup', same as the first.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>& yet none of them realize that Robertson likely doesn't make it unless he's on the taxi squad. They wouldn't have signed all those veterans without giving them the chance over a 19 year old</div></div>
did u guys read the description?? I literally said that robertson can move through the lineup, which includes the possibility that he isnt in the lineup as well. I doubt they sleep on him tho, i mean he seemed to stand his ground pretty well against columbus. Yes they might give the vets a chance but at some point they won't be able to play in a condensed season with much more back to backs which is where robertson, malgin and anderson come into play

I’m also very high on tex so there’s bias in my answer. FYI</div></div>
right now he would be bottom pair but in a few years, he can really surprise you but I would never accept this trade as a leafs fan and as a cbj fan

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jangle29</b></div><div>Holl is a kilometer better than Dermott right now</div></div>
I think ur wrong but ur entitled to ur opinion. Maybe right now, holl is better but Dermott's ceiling is waaay higher and holl has already passed his prime and has barely secured an nhl spot. At most, he is a bottom pairing whereas right now dermott is a bottom pairing but has the capability to move into a top 4 role possibly replacing Muzzin if developed correctly

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>After the first part of the lottery draft before any Kings or Ottawa fans could post anything positive there were about 20 or so posts with people happy that Detroit fell as far as they could. People may dislike Toronto but they loath Detroit. Not commenting on the trade and just saying no is the frustrated fans I mentioned above. Scroll back through the Toronto ACGMs to before the finales and look at the responses the back then it wasn't just no back then the posts did have explanations.
Kerfoot is a bottom 6 player albeit a very good bottom 6 player. On the 3rd line solid defensively and can even add some offense but its a luxury Detroit can't afford right now. Look at Detroit's roster they have a lot of bottom 6 players and bigger needs to be addressed before upgrading their bottom 6. The Detroit fans saying there isn't a lot or room is pretty accurate. The majority of the UFAs Detroit are on 1 yr deals and basically place holders or as Yzerman put it we are trying to ice a better team without impeding the progress of our prospects or giving up futures. Detroit has several prospects that are or will be ready to start working them through the line up this season. I have nothing against Kerfoot and if Detroit was in the playoffs or close to being the playoffs yeah Detroit would probably give up a 3rd to get him but they aren't a playoff team and they need the 3rd more than they need Kerfoot.</div></div>
btw, I really hope detroit gets better throughout the offseason

I agree but to say that kerfoot belongs in the ahl is completely untrue and uncalled for

doesn't fit inside the cap??? also why would the leafs trade upcoming youngsters who could be with the leafs for a long time to come through their prime for two superstar vets (granted they are amazing and have a lot of experience, won 3 cups) who are past their prime and won't be with them for too long

completely agree, I looked at New Jersey's depth charts and saw they needed some sort of stability on the right side especially if connor carrick is underperforming like you say he is

Leafs Roster 2020-2021 Updated
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jangle29</b></div><div>There's really no reason what so ever to love our best right handed D man just to sign a possibly AHL plug</div></div>
I don't understand, he is our best RIGHT HANDED defense but there are left handed ones like brodie for sure as well as dermott (some people don't think so) who are better than holl or in Dermott's case will become better than holl. Also Bogosian adds more pieces that we need compared to holl. He was paired with Victor Hedman last year with Tampa during the playoffs and together they were pretty good showing offensive spark with Hedman, some good defense from Bogosian as well as toughness coming from both of them (but mostly bogo)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gordon_Bombay</b></div><div>I'd rather trade Dermott</div></div>
I understand why u would say that but holl is nearing thirty now and is in his prime if not nearing the end of it whereas dermott is only 23 and can develop into a much better player than holl for the future. That's why I signed dermott to a 1 year deal, if he screws up, we can show him the door.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Welcome to CapFriendly.
I don't think that Florida is going to trade you their first-round pick from 2018 (tenth overall) for Holl plus a second, let alone Holl minus a third</div></div>
I mean so far, he's been a bust in florida but any prospect or a late draft pick from florida instead of the third would do. Ur right, I mean any deal that Dubas can agree on to get rid of holl as well as get something in return is what I was looking for but ur right, now that u point it out, it seems very unrealistic

yup, totally right, I know people been talking about Joe Thornton but idk where he fits in or perhaps he swaps in for spezza in an increased lineup but thats the only way i see him being a good fit in toronto

ur right, I put bogosian there as a scratch because some sources are saying mikko lehtonen can play a top 4 d role in the nhl, right now. I mean any pairings from these seven are possible, maybe
Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Dermott/Bogosian
Lehtonen-Dermott/Bogosian
and u can have Sandin play a few games because this season would need some players to get rest
