little does he know im a leafs fan lmao.
i think its fair value, Fredric easily plays either 2C with Tavares / Nylander or 3rd line.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>radtad</b></div><div>This is wild and I love it. I’d still think the Flyers could get more for those players individually. But the creativity is really impressive. I like that all the picks for PHI are in 2023 which hold a lot of value right now.
Does PLD and Helly actually have that type of value considering the whole league knows they’re not resigning? Wouldn’t teams just lowball them until they give in? Also, why would anyone even want PLD at this point. He complains like he’s McJesus when he’s actually just a 2nd line Center</div></div>
Thank you. I think the Flyers are missing 1 more asset to make it more fair for them. But i thought this idea was a smart idea since its basically the leafs loading up, Winnipeg kicking the can down the road 2 more years while having Hart under team control for 3 more seasons minimum, and of course a futures package to Philly with a Timmins to fill in right away and see if he can live up to the potential before the head injuries. IMO if he actually gets to play a full year next year i wouldnt be shocked to see him develop into a solid #4/5 D with a little more consistency.

The flyers get Robertson who is a boom or bust prospect who they reportedly really like, Hiro who plays a hard nosed Philly style game, and Timmins who honestly would probably be a top 4 d in Philly, not to mention 3 picks in the first 50 selections in a draft that is said to be as loaded as 2003 and 2016.

One year of Hellebyuck for a pick in the early teens in a deep draft, plus a B and C prospect is leaning towards a overpay

2 late 1sts for Girard
vs a 12-16overall pick + 2 prospects for 1 year of Hellebyuck???
Schneider was a elite goalie and went straight up for 9th overall,

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ClockReads2113</b></div><div>That Caps trade needs to change.
Jensen (top pairing defensive defensemen on the cheap) = 1st
Dowd (elite 4C, that was a top 10 GAR player this season and is on a great contract through the next 2 seasons) = 2nd+3rd
Hathaway (elite 4th line winger that plays playoff hockey) = 2nd
Hirvonen is a fine start but need to build from that. Kressler and 4th are useless so throw those out. Caps don't need Kerfoot but can take him to make the numbers work but that will cost some too. So maybe: 2024 1st+2026 2nd+2024 3rd+HIrvonen.</div></div>

Thoughts Vegas fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>I think our overall D needs more physicality but to upgrade the guys we have now, with more physical versions of them (without getting worse dman) is super expensive.
Rielly is big but not physical. Brodie is a super talented defensive dman but not physical. If you uprgade Brodie to a more physical version of yourself, you are now paying for a top 20 dman in the league who has serious cap.
Gio is super talented and responsible but not physical and he is on a great cap hit. Lily is not physical but has shown very capable and he is on a low cap hit. Hard to upgrade either guy.
Sandin is physical but not a huge guy. If is he upgraded it would need to be to a guy like Chychrun (very expensive). Holl has thrown a few hits this year and his big but he isn't a bruiser by anymeans. He is the most likely candidate to be upgraded to get someone physical. But he has played 21 minutes a game on a good team and to upgrade him would be super expensive. Timmins has played well and is a good 7th option. He is also not very physical.
The cheap option is to get Schenn as a 8th d option. So if we are getting beat up in a series, we take out Holl and put Schenn in.
We could get Chychrun but he is a LD and that would mean Sandin gets traded or is sitting out.
We could target a guy like Parayko on the RD. But his play has dropped off and he is signed for 6.5m a year for 7 more years and has a NTC.
To actually get an upgrade over what we have now would be SUPER expensive.
I think getting Schenn and adding him to our current group is the most probable scenario.</div></div>
IMO, I think Sandins a fine player and will cap out at a #4 max. IMO Doesnt skate well, doesnt PK and Keefe doesnt look to him to run the PP and has benched him in the playoffs for basically 2 series in a row so i believe keefe tends to not trust him. Hague is basically the opposite as Sandin, big guy with size who defends well and skates well. i think it would be a beneficial swap for both

Thoughts Vegas fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Sandin is quite physical. He has 113 hits in 51 games vs 74 hits in 55 games by Hague. Of course Hague is the bigger man but Sandin is one of the only guys in d corp that provides a physical element.
Remember when he did this to Blake Wheeler? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvQFiyHcQ4k
But I do agree Leafs need more physicality in their D but removing Sandin doesn't accomplish that.</div></div>
Yeah Sandy can throw a hit but when we play any heavier teams hes easily bumped off pucks in corners. Cant see the leafs going far this year with a left side achored by Rielly-Sandin since they both do the same things, and i wouldnt want to rely on a 40yr old Gio to play #3 d for a 2 month run

I think both teams are happy with their guys.
I did suggest similar when both Hague and Sandin were holding out in the offseason. But as of now, both teams keep their guy.</div></div>
leafs need a more phyisical LHD, plus next year timmins and Reilly will be on the top of each PP and Sandin doesnt PK

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>I don't think this helps TO at all and means we lose Bunting next year.</div></div>
this roster would have 13m in cap space, only have to resign Timmins (will be cheap since he has no arb rights), Samsonov, Kampf, Holmberg, and Bunts
IMO could fit all of them, Timmins will probably be a bridge deal at like 1.25x3. Holmberg will probably be around the same. Kampf will probably ask for around 2.75m and Bunting will go long term to keep the cap down something like 3.75 x 7 would hopefully get it done. all those add up to 9m and then you have 4 to deicide if your resigning Sammy and then have to find league min people to fill out the bottom of the line up

Trading Rielly would be a mistake. Chychrun can play both side, put them both on your first pair.</div></div>
I think if both teams keep sliding a wake up trade of Reilly/Parayko could be a major shake up for both teams, just seeing as both have similar contracts and term, leafs are thinner on RHD and Blues are thinner on high LD (believe krug is LHD but plays right).
IMO i dont think Kerfoots a cap dump, Yotes could easily take Kerf and flip him for a late first or a 2nd +3rd to a contender.
