You're building the reputation of the team with moves like that. Second class organization. Players will think twice before signing with Toronto and moving their family.</div></div>
Muzzins in year 2 of his 4 year deal, not idea how ink is still dry. If he was so concerned with not moving youd think he would go for a NMC. If kyle is hellbent on getting rid of Muzzin he can just get put on waivers. Its a business and Dubas needs to be cut throat and make the move and reallocate his cap dollars, he cant be worrying about how muzzin will feel and dubas shouldnt give a sht he needs to be cut throat and make moves to win this year or the entire front office is gone.
TLDR, Kyle has a wife, kids and also manages his home team. He needs to prioritize winning this year over reputation.

When a player asks for an NTC, he also accepts a slightly lower salary in exchange for stability. Now Jake is asking to leave him alone.</div></div>
10 team NTC this upcoming year and this is a cut throat league. thankfully its just a NTC. Look at McD in tampa, he was told to co-operate and supply teams he would go to or he would be put on waivers and colombus agree'd to claim him. Not the first or last time this happened. Burkes told multiple stories on radio over the years about how hes used this same strategy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Tyler Myers at 3 mil is not bad. Erik Gudbranson got a 4x4 contract. Tyler Myers is better than him at literally everything. Myers is not a cap dump, and the Canucks will not be adding a sweetener to dump anybody. Ferland is also an LTIR contract, doesn’t mean anything. Garland is also the best player in the trade. This is really bad for Vancouver as Holl and Kerfoot are worse than Garlnd and Myers, and are also rentals</div></div>
ferlands contract is uninsured meaning the NHLPA is not paying him while on the LTIR, the canucks are paying him out of pocket. this would be a similar trade as when the leafs swapped Clarkson for Horton when clarksons contract was uninsured.
The point is also for them to be rentals as Benning ****ed over the canucks longterm cap situation. with them being rentals you flip them at the deadline for picks and prospects and be free of 5.5m in cap space for next summer when a horvat and or miller contract kick in

How exactly would Murray be traded to the Leafs if Mrazek is not in the trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Remember during the pandemic just before the 2021 trade deadline when Friedman floated a rumor about a non-playoff team trading some big-ticket American player to a Canadian team? for one that was Chris Johnston who had that rumor, and Frank Seravelli is also backing Fried on the Murray rumors by reporting that Ottawa is willing to include a major sweetener as in a high pick or a good prospect

Sens save real dollars on trading murray, plus they want the cap space to sign giroux since they have to pay stuzel next season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jester9881</b></div><div>I think the loss has made some Leaf fans stop thinking clearly. Of all the players on the team, why would you trade Morgan Reilly?</div></div>
Rielly isnt the type of #1D the leafs need. Hes. OFD puck disturber on the PP, leafs already have marner for that role. He lacks the willingness to shoot and a booming shot from the point. Leafs need a threat from the blue line and putting Rielly on the 2nd PP is wasting cap as it kills his overall effectiveness (I.E, the Barrie experience).
After watching the PP get shut down for 3 years in a row something has to change. Teams are covering each flank now cause its obvious Rielly is going to walk the line and just pass to either Marner/Matthews, which neither get lanes to since the top of each box takes out shooting lanes. Need to find someone with a shot threat so teams need to decide if they are taking away the shot from the point or from either flank

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Byrr</b></div><div>Calling Manson a top end rental d man is a joke unto itself. Klingberg, the former Norris contender, would be the top end of the rental defensemen. Mark Giodano, the Norris winner just a few seasons ago would be the top end of rental defensemen. Hampus Lindholm could fit into that description too. Manson has nothing that even remotely puts him in that realm. There's two or three levels between Manson and the top end of the rental defensemen. A 1st, 2 decent prospects and a replacement is more than enough for 2 months of Manson.
To point out just how ridiculous you are I want you to look at the return Muzzin got. This trade is very similar to it while Muzzin was both better than Manson and had term remaining. If anything the OP is giving away too much.</div></div>
Exactly, Plus Muzzin is ALOT better then Manson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yycofred</b></div><div>How has Ritchie gone from quite literally zero value to worth a 4th?? As for the main part of this you’re going after a top end rental D man and young forward for a D man whose been a scratch that’s paid too much, a D man whose best part of his game is that his dog is cute plus a D prospect who’s not as good as what the Ducks have plus and undersized winger who has never played in North America pluuuuss a draft pick in the bottom 5-10 picks of the first round. A lot of quantity doesn’t equal any quality.</div></div>
If you have a pulse on the ducks, The entire fanbase says Steel is in a make it or break it season as he isnt living up to expectations, so a 24 year old Center being traded for a 25 year old dman who both have similiar contracts and could use a change of scenery makes sense

As a leafs fan, if you wanted to do Tarasenko for Marner, you’d probably have to include one of your young wingers (Blais or Thomas) and maybe throw in your late first for our late second.
Vladdy is too much of a risk with his reoccuring shoulder injury + his age

They take J.Holl Or Dermott. I think they would take Brooks before Kerfoot.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but multiple Leafs beat writers have been on record saying Seattle really likes Kerfoot and thats gonna be their pick. Leafs are doing 4-4-1 since they dont have enough contracts to do 7-3-1 so Holl will be protected.
Not to mention with the insane amounts of young LHD with potential (Bean, Lauzon, Stanley, Fleury, Kylington all off the top of my head) the odds of Seattle taking dermott are drastically reduced since they will need to pick forwards who can make a impact</div></div>

All you duck fans keep saying this, but he was nearly traded for Virtanen, and Virtanen is worth nothing. Not to mention its been reported all season how Terry wants out of Anaheim. Theres 0 way your getting a decent pick AND prospect for him. Maybe a 3rd or a B/C prospect and later pick
