<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>My two cents on these
PHI trade - Giroux is not waiving. Reports say he wants to go to COL, or maybe STL or MIN if COL doesn't work. Basically he wants to go west. Risto and MacEwen will probably cost a 1st+ with retention...not that it's worth it for the Leafs
NYI trade - Lamoriello and Trotz are very fond of these guys. Expect the return to be once again so high that no one should be interested. Likely 1st+something.
ARI trade - I suppose Lyubushkin+Galchenyuk might be moving for a 2nd round pick. ARI likes those.
SEA trade - That team is lacking in RHDs, so I don't think Larsson is available. Plus he's also inked long-term. Appleton's probably available for a 2nd or 3rd+prospect.
CBJ trade - Domi's playing an ok year. I think Engvall+conditional 2nd that turns into a first if Leafs reach the Eastern conference finals or something like that.
VAN trade - Miller's cost is going to be insane. Niemelä, Robertson, Hirvonen, 1st might be all be in play...once again, don't think it's going to be worth it for the Leafs.</div></div>
I agree with pretty much everything you said but the Vancouver one. I think jt Miller will cost a first and a second and a prospect plus a current at most ( the current player and second for holding 50%). The return for Jack eichel was a first, second, current player (tuch) and a prospect ( kreps). There shouldn't be anyway jt Miller cost more then eichel but then again I could see a team paying it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bagelbob</b></div><div>imo it would take at least a first for the isles to move mayfield, but they can take on a cap dump in the return, maybe ritchie or holl, since that's how the d market is panning out with the savard deal and seemingly with chiarot. just don't see it happening for less since he has another year and they don't have a prospect to take his place.</div></div>
Would a 1st 5th and Ritchie get that package then?

Really? Buffalo got 1st 2nd tuch and kreps for eichel and a 3rd! You really think your getting that much for jt Miller? Even with half retain you'll get a bottom 6 nhl player, a prospect and a 1st AT MOST!

If leafs are getting rid of Matthews ( which they won’t IMO ) they are getting a lot more for him then this.

a late 2nd at best imo but for arguments sake let's say he's worth a 1st, Severson is worth more then Dermott and a 2nd.
Also Dermott is only 2 years younger then Severson so I doubt he'd interest them much if they want to get younger.</div></div>
That is very true but the only reason I think johnnson is worth that much is because look at what Toronto got for kapenan a first( 15th overall) and pretty good prospect. I think johnnson is just as good as kapenan so I think 18th or 20th overall pick isn’t out rages for johnnson IMO.

I'm down for the Jets taking a chance on Kerfoot but think 40th overall is just a bit much for him, if it's a 2021 2nd I'd do it.
</div></div>
I don’t know, johnnson is a 20 goal man and is only making 3.4 mil a year plus he is signed for another 3 years and dermott is what nj is looking for. I agree with the kerfoot trade though.

Sorry but lafreniere won’t be like matthews, he is going to be more like hall or marner so I think that trade is more then fair ( other than Marners contract) but overall fair I think.

Freddie is the better goaltender and were paying more for a worse goalie lul. Than were giving a good prospect in liligren a top 15 1st and 2nd for Benett thanks for the laughs.
All these trades are horrible for the leafs except for the Ottawa and Winnipeg ones and even than they reject</div></div>
Ya I agree with you but it’s annoying when being a Toronto fan and try making a trade and people are always saying that Toronto is always benefiting from my trades. Personally I think Freddy and liligren and maybe a second for Bennett rittich and a first and second.

Declining d man? He had one bad year doesn’t mean anything plus he is playing for Arizona and that doesn’t help him at all. For monahan he is an easy flip for another top 4 d man or a cheaper winger plus a 1st rounder. Yes Toronto accepts all day long!

Good for both sides
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>reelkena</b></div><div>"Rather be safe then sorry"
You mean like re signing Murray and having nothing to do with this deal?
They don't know Jarry is going to pan out. It's not an exact science. But if you move Murray, you've decided to go with Jarry. That's how that works. You don't pick your starter, trade the other guy for another starter then keep DeSmith in the AHL and go exactly nowhere.
You're also trying to dump 9 million cap on a team that just threw away Bjugstad simply to dump 2 million in cap and telling them you're "giving too much"
Every part of this deal is you getting what you want and giving them Liljegren and a first and a pile of stuff they can't afford or use.
0/10 actually zero</div></div>
Toronto would be taking a risk with Letang because he is always hurt plus Pittsburgh has no first rounder this year or next plus there team is old, having a young stud prospect dman and young players wouldn’t be so bad for them, I don’t understand how you don’t like this trade? If Anderson was out of the trade would that make you happy and Toronto give up a second or third rounder instead?
