Uncertain at best. Really depends if a taker can be found at all.

Realistic Offseason Prediction
That's probably fair value for Chinakhov, but breaking up the Siberian Trio is not going to win you many friends among Jackets fans here. :)
Also, Pageau to the Preds is dubious because that problem contract also coincides with the years when the Duchene buyout dead cap gets <strong>really</strong> ugly.

No objection from this Jackets fan. Would be curious about Blackhawks fans' perspective on it; I imagine it's the second remaining year on Laine's deal that would cause 'em to flinch.

FWIW, this is one of the more rational Leafs ACGMs, as well as one of the better Leafs rosters, I've seen on here in a bit. I think you're on the right track! It would be fun to see both Tanevs end up on the Leafs next year somehow.</div></div>

Thank you! I posted one earlier, called the same.. on that I had matched the two Tanev brothers on the leafs roster.

Nashville doesn't need a Barrie replacement any more than the Jackets need a Provorov or Bean replacement. Even less so, really. Would have to find a different taker.

I'll even give you Damon Severson, who I had forgotten about when I made my post.
Now reconcile that with all the players that had no interest in re-signing there and/or were disgruntled playing there. Bobrovsky, Panarin, Duchene, Gaborik, Carter, Dzingel, Dubois. And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.</div></div>
Nearly half your examples are erroneous. We walked away from Duchene, Gaborik, and Dzingel, not the other way around.

Good feedback… I thought about that with the picks..
As for Marner to Vegas… I have a feeling they will lose either one of Stevenson or Marchy or both.. I considered throwing another Vegas player in over the 1st rounder… that may even out the cap concerns… if I’m going to have to eat money… another player may do that instead… but I guess depends what Vegas wants… Marner at his age make be fit over an older Marchy
Thanks !

Marner trades that make some sense
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaseyFlyman</b></div><div>Haha I like how we're inching closer!
Elvis is kind of a prime buyout candidate, he's a decent 1B who has shown flashes, but he's been inconsistent. Honestly, he is the type of personality that would THRIVE in the Toronto spotlight. The only hangups on retaining are that a buyout is ~$1M cheaper per year (minus year 3 where it's ~$200K more expensive) and we'd be eating up a retention spot for 3 years. Merzlikins you could have for free, but with retention it's probably a mid-rounder in value coming back.
That said, the more I think about it, Liljegren is a good offset for Elvis. He's more valuable than a retained Elvis, but also redundant on a Columbus team that already has Jiricek, Severson, Gudbranson, and especially Boqvist on the right side. If he's in the deal because of salary and value, I think that's fine, but he doesn't add too much to Columbus in terms of need. Columbus almost certainly moves him or Boqvist (or both) for additional picks.
Overall, I think KJ + Laine + Provorov 50% + Elvis 50% for Marner + Lilly + a 4th would work, anything else would really be tinkering around the edges. Now we just have to submit it to the rest of the fanbases for approval. :)</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>T0R</b></div><div>You’re Definitely closer & I understand your point so i’ll raise my own, what about Merzlinkins 50% retained?, I know he has what 2-3 more years, it would only be 2.7 in retention & he has shown the ability to perform at the NHL level previously, it's just that was 2-3 years ago but I think it is fair to place that on the team around him more than just his abilities as a Tendy & with Woll being a 50/50 & no real upgrade available unless the Leafs get Saros from Nashville for Mitch (which negates this whole thing lol), I think Merzlinkins would be someone Brad would look to acquire in this deal as well so
KJ+Laine+ Provorov 50%+ Merzlinkins 50% for MM + Liljegren + a 4th</div></div>
I think the only flies in that ointment are that KJ is unlikely to be traded while recovering from major surgery, and Marner's own preferences.

He is meant to be the Brandon Dubinsky portion of the deal....(he stayed in CBJ and even signed $35m extension there).
I think the answer would be more than what OTT wants to pay, less than BOS feel he is worth.

Ya you aren’t getting it… they played a game at the end of a season like often happens with college kids. If you look at Hobey winners many needed SOME AHL time, Gionta, Nyquist, Kunitz, Kyle Connor… all needed some AHL time. It’s very normal.

100%.
Tarry has never been on the block. He and Greaves are the likely 1A/1B of the future. Hell, before his injury, Tarry was on a stretch where he was out-playing most Gs in the league.
There’s a future where Elvis is traded/bought-out and CBJ need a one-year stop-gap guy so Greaves can get his last year in AHL, but I don’t see them paying much to get a guy like Andersen.

I appreciate the sentiment that you desire size.
Let's say Celibrini, Demidov, Lindstrom and Levshunov are gone in the first four. Who would we draft that has size, is a forward, that we are not reaching for. Minnesota could use a defenseman in their system, I'd rather trade down, get Rossi, and draft a player like Greentree, Iginla, or Sennecke if any of them are available at 13. (And even if Lindstrom is available, his injury history concerns me a bit, we already have Dach in our system.)
If my choices are [Catton or Eiserman at #5]
or Rossi + [Greentree, Iginla, Sennecke or even Basha at #13] I'd consider both options very carefully. (Even Eiserman still might be available at 13, who knows.)
Let's say this... Do you want Berkley Catton (5'11, 75kg) at 5OA or Rossi (5'9, 86kg) and potentially 6'2 Greentree or 6'2 Sennecke at 13OA or any of the aforementioned players (Iginla, Basha ... Eiserman).
You could even draft Julius Miettinen at #13, preferably at #27 from Winnipeg though, for size, 6'3 (190cm) + 207lbs (94kg). (But Craig Button does have Miettinen ranked 17th overall.)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drambui</b></div><div>exept rossi is not worth 9 overall anymore.</div></div>
Guerin and Hughes, would have to discuss what to do with Colorado's 2nd round pick, if they disagree on the value of Rossi. But the structure of the trade would still have to look something like this. Otherwise Guerin just says no. (Also really depends on who is available at 5OA). I don't see Minnesota parting with Rossi unless they get at least 12OA value for Rossi. (The 12OA has a value of 30 [PuckPedia Perri Pick Value Calculator] and the 13OA has a value of 28. So you could drop Colorado's 2nd from the Habs side of the trade, and the value is about equal from both sides.)
