What about this idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JesikaMorris</b></div><div>Well they don’t get two firsts for hart there’s almost no goalie that’s worth 2 firsts without multiple years of retention and who care that you get another goalie back for 3 months don’t sell him just wait him out your prospects can have they’re shot next year</div></div>
So not only should Philadelphia trade Hart for less because "no goalie gets 2 firsts worth" (which btw when has a goalie ever been traded that is similar to where Hart is right now). But they should also just take on a descending asset and just have him "wait it out". I'm sure the flyers will have no problem flat out helping the leafs and putting their rebuild back years just because it works for leafs fans lmaooo.

Lassi? He has quite literally zero value, been placed on waivers twice in the past two weeks, if Philly wanted him they couldve gotten him for free

Two things I would say about this.
First I think if the rumoured and widely known price is atleast the first round pick, I don't see Philly giving in when they have all the leverage. At this point its on Ottawa to get something done, I just dont see why Philly settles for less to help them out? If anything, the price keeps going up.
Second, I get your explanation on the whole value, I kind of agree, Brannstrom and the second equals being able to get rid of Joseph, but then you're getting Seeler for free?? Why would the flyers do that when they can easily just keep him and trade him at the deadline for a draft pick?

I actually like a lot of these moves from a flyers standpoint. The only one I cannot see happening is Puljujarvi, just because he and Torts are a nightmare pairing, which sucks to say because the idea of buying into his talent for cheap is a fun idea. But overall, we keep trying to get rid of guys that don't fit that Torts mold, so I cant see us acquiring a guy that doesn't fit.

Flyers laugh at this deal. How are you trading for Hart, Hayes AND Farabee without getting a single first round pick back. Typically when new regimes start they want capital to be able to make their own selections, so a lot of those players you offered (even the first rounders) theyd most definitely want actual picks instead.

Unreal team probably not very realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>ok first I am not your "bro", I don't give a crap about brick heads who try to "make people look dumb". You do you but I don't want any association with your pathetic type.
And what about doubling down on the irony? This time you accuse me of not reading after you said "<em>the trade you proposed is awful lol</em>" when I didn't make the proposal. Golden lol
Regarding the source, effectively I don't spend time scanning the internet for all these rumors and whatnot. That is WHY I have asked you to provide a link, a source where it says that a 1st round pick has been offered NOW in the off-season... There's a huge difference between the deadline market and the off-season market, particularly for middle-six forwards.
Yet, you and your buddy still haven't provided anything.
I hate to break it to you, but you decided to call someone DUMB because he used an inexact word by scooping over a 49 games season, which makes you the major tool that you are. I usually use hockey reference to see PPGs directly but this time I didn't so by looking at raw numbers I didn't realize he had a similar PPG in 2019-20, like his 2nd best season. BIG DEAL. Nitpicking
Yes I was not correct on that but there's no narrative or anything. I am OBVIOUSLY not going to use 4 seasons ago to evaluate Joseph and Laughton NOW. You'd have to be dumb to do that but wait... did you just asked that question? I swear to God that I didn't even read it before I typed this :tearsofjoy :tearsofjoy :tearsofjoy
I know your type... we see them once in a while on the internet, a gigantic waste of bandwidth but at the same time way too hilarious to pass up on the occasion. That's the only thing laughable here. But it's ok, stay the way you are, we love you this way.
Sigh but ok whatever, it's not about my opinion, I don't even care about my own opinion. I care about facts.
- I provided a card for Joseph (that reflects his advanced stats)
- I stated that Joseph is a top skater. Just watching him play, it becomes factual
- elite PKer (again, advanced stats makes it factual)
- provided both players PPG of the last 2 seasons, Joseph only in Ottawa because, well, it's more relevant. I was wrong on calling Laughton best seasons, because hey, he had a similar PPG to his 2nd best season in 2019-20, in a 49 games season. That made me look really dumb lmao
- I have stated that it's known that GMs are ready to overpay to upgrade their rosters for the playoffs, which I consider factual because it happens every deadline.
- I have provided more numbers and specifically that Laughton produces only 9-10 more points per 82 games while playing 3:18 more per game (including more PP minutes)
My point is simple, I am not going to spend assets for a little bit more offense but less defense when my team needs is more in 2-way forwards
I have also asked to provide a credible SOURCE that says that the offers have been RECENT (AFTER the deadline), which would make your whole argumentation a little bit more credible, not factual but at least more credible. Still waiting</div></div>
You are so upset lmaoooo. And ill call you what I want, thanks.
All I'm saying is you look dumb when you use the word comfortably and you're still wrong lol. When you say stuff like that, that implies you've done your research and atleast had the decency to double check.
I guess you can argue that 4 season ago isn't as relevant but why are we acting like it didnt exist, and im the dumb one apparently.
You just sound so dumb, you say your provide facts but your second point is his elite speed, then your proof is because you watch him play LMAO
And if you could read I just told you Friedmann reported it during the SCF on HNIC. I don't know why I have to tell you this again but your opinion is not credible. What you think of Joseph, Laughton, the weather, Canadian politics, it DOESNT matter, get that through your head. No one cares if you'd make the trade or not trust me.
Don't reply, please I beg, I'm done with you and your incompetence.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>I don't know how old you guys are but if you believe everything you see in the medias, your life experience must be pretty limited. That and the context or timing is often purposedly left off the mark. GMs also often use negotiating through medias but you're probably very naïve so I don't expect you to be aware of that
See my post above this one. Let's see if you can find a source with context and timeline
And what trade have I proposed exactly? I mean you're trying to argue with me but you can't even read properly? :help
Ok so that was supposed to make me look "dumb"? lol
Hard to believe you were serious here but it was probably the weakest attempt I have ever seen. The only person you managed to make look stupid is yourself on top of being pretty pathetic by attempting to do it
OK so Laughton also had a good PPG season in 2019-20 but just 49 games so lower raw numbers. And 4 years ago is not very relevant anymore... I was grouping the last 2 seasons together when saying that it was his best output but ok, let's nitpick on that if you want. My bad, I was extremely DUMB here :tearsofjoy
I only took Joseph numbers in Ottawa (and it was SPECIFIED in the post) because he had more opportunity than on the top NHL contender but ok, let's include TB as well. It brings down his numbers to 0.38 PPG for the last 2 seasons. Incredible, Laughton produces a whooping 9.84 more points per 82 games while playing 3:18 more per game (including more PP minutes). Again so duuuuumb
All that being said, not much change in what I said (which is absolutely hilarious considering your stupid attempt) :
Joseph might actually be better OVERALL than Laughton. He is one of the best skaters in the league (much better than Laughton) and an ELITE PKer. Plus he produces almost as much as Laughton (9-10 pts less per 82 games but in less minutes and barely any PP time)
Last 2 years (one was Laughton's best offensive season in career) :
Laughton : 0.50 PPG, Joseph 0.38 PPG
I wouldn't make this stupid trade and piss away 2 picks for absolutely no reason. Ottawa doesn't need more offense, they need more good defensive forwards. You'd have to be very clueless to spend a 1st on Scott Laughton when you can spend that on much better players</div></div>
LMAO bro do you even read what's currently going on before you post or do you just listen to Ottawa oriented people to once again fit your narrative. Elliotte Friedman reports it, probably one of the most trusted sources in the industry that late 1sts have been offered and declined.
Also, hate to break it to you, but you can't say stuff like "comfortably" when you aren't even correct, thats what makes you look dumb. Mistakes can be made, but if you're going to be throwing out statements like that and sound like you know what you're talking about, you should atleast be correct. Now four years ago isn't relevant. Once again everything is just to fit your current narrative, its honestly laughable. And finally, I would LOVE to know on what earth, stats from four years ago all of the sudden don't matter??
Also, one more time because apparently you didnt understand when TheBigFlyera told you, you're a nobody, your opinion on the market means literally nothing when actual GMs are making offers.

I really doubt Laughton's advanced stats look better than this :

Last 2 years (comfortably Laughton's best offensive seasons) :
Laughton : 0.50 PPG, Joseph 0.45 PPG (in Ottawa)
I wouldn;t make this stupid trade and piss away 2 picks for absolutely no reason</div></div>
And you're not a GM in the NHL. You can have your opinion, but if they're literally declining first round picks for him, then the trade you proposed is awful lol
Also, now I'm just going to make you look dumb. Your comparison between Joseph and Laughton is hilarious. You claim the last two seasons were his best, when in 19-20 he has a 0.55 ppg and two season ago in your comparison had 0.44 so you're just making things up.
Secondly, you want to talk about Josephs last two years where 2 season ago he played 11 games, thats a horrible sample size.
If you're going to make posts like this and arguments stop speaking about things that only fit your narrative.
