Little bit of selling
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Novistic</b></div><div>If that's really all we need to pay for a goalie, then I'm sure the avs would do it. But I think they'd want to look at some better options first</div></div>
If you guys really need a back up, I don’t think there’s many better options than Ned. Especially if Colorado were to go for him. Another goalie goes down, you’d have Ned that’d be able to start those games.

Far too many games without Soucy. I like both Ludvig and POJ but our blueline would never survive that long like that. Keep in mind Soucy has only played 21 games this season.

Blueline would still be suffering cause Soucy injured too much

It wont happen but
Still little bit of inconsistencies from Rakell but he actually has 14 points in 18 games since returning from an injury. I think the same thing about Smith though. He’s a great player, but maybe he just doesn’t fit our system sadly. He got off to a solid start but his production fizzled after a while.

Sabres AGAIN
This heavily favours Buffalo more than Vancouver. With this type of trade it should be returning us a far more better player. Easy pass

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>Keep him then... he's not as good as Debrusk and older. Bruins have no motivation to move Debrusk for Rakell.</div></div>
3 year age difference. He can put up more offence than DeBrusk. Defensively not as good as DeBrusk. It’d be a trade that could work well for both sides. That’s the only trade I’d look for when moving Rakell

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>Disagree... Rakell is a mid player on a terrible contract.</div></div>
Mid players don’t put up 14 points in their last 17 games played returning from an injury.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>If you add a first and retain on Rakell... sure</div></div>
That’d be an overpay. A first I can sort of understand but I think more of a 2nd. Retaining would be goofy realistically. Teams don’t just retain money on players with term on contracts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bruins_Guy613</b></div><div>Bs aren't swapping making that swap unless Pens are retaining or adding a pick. They could sign Jake for in and around (maybe a bit more) what Rakell is making and Jake is 3 years younger.</div></div>
I was thinking of throwing in a 3rd or 2nd depending on how it’d be seen.

Who would be takers on Smith and Rakell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>Puustinen isn't really an NHL level player.
So If Poulin is being called up he's probably the one going down.
They aren't going to move Smith or Rakell to make room for call ups.
Lets be honest they can move Harkins as well if they need to make room. It's not huge loss. But he's probably better off getting 3rd line minutes and role.
I don't even think it's a good idea to unload Smith. I'd rather keep him in his contract year.
They can always move him next year as a deadline rental if they aren't going anywhere to get something from him.
But this year there is no real reason to.
Especially if they are going to move Jake. Which who knows if they do or don't. If they do that, they create a hole on the LW. Moving both Smith and Jake they don't really have the bodies to replace them both.</div></div>
I really don’t think Jake will be moved. If the team wants to have future success keeping Jake is the only way. Who else has consistently played with Sid on the wing for this long? The ideal situation is to keep working on an extension.
Also Puustinen can put up the points. I don’t see how he isn’t NHL level. Moving Smith and Rakell, maybe the better situation is finding teams willing to make swaps and can risk taking those guys on while matching as much cap as possible.

Where would they be now
I feel like there’s too much obsession with Trocheck. Without him the team is fine. We always had a third line centre(Blueger) and the team always pushed him aside despite him being a strong two way player. Then letting Rakell walk would’ve been stupid because he plays well with Sid and Geno. Keeping ERod around would’ve been either good or stupid. Good because maybe he’d be playing the same way he is right now or bad he just becomes heavily inconsistent just like the year he broke out with us. Lafferty was always a solid player though and always pushed aside for other players which always sucks.

How could Hanifin be made possible
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>Why would the Penguins have interest in Hanifin?</div></div>
Reports of interest in Hanifin. He would end up bolstering the blue line and he plays more defence than Letang and Karlsson. It would allow for both Letang and Karlsson to do more things offensively. I don’t think it’s totally serious interest. But I thought I’d try and chalk up some sort of idea to see how a trade could work out

It's a good offensive team with terrible finishing. And a below average defensive team with great goaltending.</div></div>
I think the teams defence is okay enough. Would be nice to get another shutdown guy in there. But the goaltending has been insane this year.

Definitely would be a good gamble to take in the off-season. I seen reports that one of the only teams he’d want to go to is Boston. At the same time who knows where he’d actually sign with as a free agent. Either way trade for him now and extend him wouldn’t be a terrible move either

I didn’t make these lines. It’s just the auto generated lines when you create the teams. I was just giving the update of the Bonino lol
