dream Columbus scenario
I'm starting to come back around on Boqvist's value. He's scoring at a 65 point pace since NYE. While I don't think that's a realistic pace to expect him to keep up with, I'm back to being afraid of selling low on him and having him blow up elsewhere into a legitimate top 4 scoring RD. I'd rather he stayed and Blankenburg be a scratch at this point. He has a lot of heart, but he has also been making a lot of really rough defensive mistakes.
The reported ask for Chychrun is now down to two 1sts or a 1st and a prospect worth a 1st. Mateychuk came in at #14 on Scott Wheeler's prospect rankings so I feel like he's just too good of a prospect to part with for Chychrun. Not to mention he's the guy that Chychrun is supposed to be bridging the Jackets towards if they were to acquire him and he didn't re-sign so I don't think that would be very likely of a trade.

They could get both and still have an above average prospect pool
If Jarvis or Mercer where offered there isn't much on top of that if at all. Those players won't be moving. Imo this offer for Meier is too much but Buffalo can afford it if they so choose to. don't see any team trying to beat this, These moves definitely put Buffalo on the next level.

Wilson Jensen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bdawwwgy1</b></div><div>i really think youre overvaluing both guys here</div></div>
possibly but given there was no context im assuming Jensen at the deadline should easily get a 2nd + ... optimistically a 1st. HEs arguably the best Dmen available besides chychrun .100% best RSD available.
Wilson value should easily be a 1st + prospect / young player. given that information i assume it would come down to who wants him the most and what the bidding war would get up to... overvaluing a player is subjective but both players are really good

Not Meier or Chyrchrun
You've really made "different" decisions on where the Dmen are going to play
LHD. Reilly/Gio/Sandin. RHD Brodie/Liljegren and then is Holl/Timmins or Schenn/
But gotta say. your trades look very reasonable in value.
But if the roster allows, just keep Simmons. He might be needed.

Some pundits think because of his $3,200,000 producing only 6 goals this year, he is considered to have nutral value or less.
https://pittsburghhockeynow.com/pittsburgh-penguins-trade-chips-value-nhl-deadline-jeff-carter-kasperi-kapanen-ron-hextall/
"Kapanen is a similar anti-trade chip. It would cost the Penguins an asset to move the 26-year-old winger with a $3.2 million cap hit through next season."
The Sabre could use help on defense, Ruhwedel may not be the answer as he has ONE pt in 31 games.
Since adding Jost to the line and moving the LW, Casey has rediscovered his game.
While some may disagree, a third line winger on pace to 46 pts is worth significantly more than an over paid RW and 7th defenseman.
Buffalo will not be adding a pick and the difference is more than a 7th.
<strong>As written Buffalo would most likely pass on this deal.</strong>

If he’s a worthless scrub, why are you bothering to trade for him? He obviously has no role on your already godtier team. Don’t neg your own trades.

Yeah I wasn't so much commenting on the trade so much as agreeing with the person I responded to where they said that Roslovic's time in Columbus is rumoured to be running out.

Fair enough, I thought you were just saying acquiring him general was a pipe dream. The amount you have him signed for is probably more like what they would pay him if he hit fa perhaps, not with the 8th year.

Loustarinen is better than the whole 4th line. They’re not trading him. And resigning gudas over Johnson is the better move.

Scoring depth is never a bad thing, but I'm not sure exactly where Olafsson would fit in with the Devils, especially once Palat comes back. However I do not think this scenario is out of the question. Seems very reasonable honestly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bdawwwgy1</b></div><div>Usually I’d agree, but the overall level of Boeser is hard to beat. Especially when you’re sending out a rental and a guy who sucks and very clearly does not give 100%. Boeser should be our third best wing behind Gaud and Laine, he will bounce back. It doesn’t fill our needs but I think we’d be foolish to not take this</div></div>
Yes, but with the money already tied up else where adding another wing making 6+ just limits the cap room we have to actually improve in other areas and fill the holes we already have in the roster. We are still very much lacking the 1c, a number one defenseman and I’d say we currently need to be looking at other possible options in net with how bad our goalies have been, but that could be due to the poor defence too.

At this price, probably. It's a lot better than all the Schenn and Murphy trades.
But Kuzmenko, healthy scratch on a garbage team, ain't worth close to that.

That’s a no from Columbus, even if they are in a playoff spot Sillinger isn’t getting traded, not to mention Columbus can’t even afford that trade cap wise.

lol yeah at the very least. come on man. PLD has two full years left!!! The absolute audacity. We just got a 1st, 2nd and Barron for Copp as a pure rental!
There is not a chance in France we have to add a pick, a player AND retain $3M in salary just to get the best team in the league's 1st rounder, their 2025 2nd rounder and JT Compher. and I like JT Compher. but that is just a ridiculous low ball.

Laine wants closer to 10 than 8.5, but I think he might take a little less to make it all fit (while still getting paid), and also to get on the ice before the season starts. Jarmo just needs to stand fast and wait for something to happen. A team will need a player, Jarmo will try to deal one.
EDIT: sorry I was thinking of the Anaheim post when I made the cap floor comment. That’s not true for CHI.</div></div>

Calgary and Columbus tbh.
Calgary would want one of Johnson, Sillinger, Jiricek as part of any trade.
Columbus shouldn’t be trading Bjorkstrand and shouldn’t be moving any of the 3 mentioned above.
