Pick a trading partner that might miss the playoff hello Calgary
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>westleysnipez</b></div><div>I'd rather the Canucks retain 50% on Boeser and get more for him. They shouldn't be looking to compete next season, <em>maybe</em> the year after, so adding an extra 3.3M on to the cap isn't a big deal.
Last year, Toffoli (0.70 P/GP) earned Montreal a 1st, Heineman, a 5th, and Pitlick with a 4.25M cap hit for 2.5 seasons. This year, Boeser has a better P/PG (0.75 P/GP) than Toffoli did last season. That's not to mention that over their careers, Boeser has a much higher offensive yield than Toffoli. Yes, Toffoli is better defensively, but I think Boeser's superior production and a 1M cap differential more than makes up that difference. Trading him at 3.3M could fetch the Canucks a better haul.</div></div>
Yeah I just want them to at least get another 1st this year… and actually sell off some assets like other teams have done for years.. the Canucks have never actually done that ever

I must have been watching another Leafs team the last few years because the Holl I’ve been watching isn’t very good… and if you guys wanted to keep him because he’s your mvp? By all means I just included him because the Leafs need to move out money to be able to do anything. And you know Dubas will do something big because he’s history if you guys get bounced in the first round again!😳

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DJSums17</b></div><div>None of those guys are cap dumps. Holl is RHD that plays top 4 mins and plays PK. He’s terrible with the puck cause he handles it like a grenade sometimes but defensively he’s decent. Kerfoot gets 5 mill next year. Easy. Can play all positions and all situations. Not well but the coach trusts him. Engvall is just starting to learn his body and what he can do. The dudes a beast and if he can find that consistency he’d be a top 6 winger.
With that all said if you take out Engvall, Holl and Garland and add a Canucks 2nd or 3rd I’d definitely be okay with this.</div></div>
I’m sure when u guys r in the playoffs you would switch your opinion about Garland, very hard working player…
And all those players coming back I wouldn’t want Canucks to sign them after this season … no offence

They down grade massively on defense from holl to schenn, trade Kerfoot (or Engvall pick one) for a guy who is scoring the same rate with better ice time and line mates in Garland and then pay a 1st and liljegren for Boeser? not even close</div></div>
Holl sucks.. Schenn is an update for sure and is a physical player that the leafs need going against Boston and Tampa

Are these fair trades for all teams involved
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>-Horvat trade is too much - 2 of Nashville's top 4-5 prospects, plus a 1st, plus another prospect in Matier, for a rental in Horvat? That's too big an ask for 25 games of a guy, especially for a Predators team that's 6 points out of playoff position as we speak. Not saying they can't make it, but that giving up a ton of assets for a rental when you're not even in the playoffs right now is a bad move to make.
-Boeser to the Wild doesn't make sense because the extra term on his deal is gonna hurt - the Parise/Suter buyouts are worst in '23-24 and '24-25, when Boeser will be adding $6.65 to that pile of pain. I don't think Boeser's a straight cap dump like some folks around here might, but I do think that Minnesota is an awful landing spot for him because of those cap issues.
-To tie it above - Minnesota actually has the $3M this year to retain on Dumba's deal, so if they think he's expendable (obviously they do if you have them trading him for Boeser), then why don't they cut out the middleman and offer this deal to Edmonton?
What both these Dumba deals ignore is a few things. First, Minnesota is in playoff position right now; and Dumba is giving them 21+ minutes a night to help that. Barring a complete and total collapse over the next 6 weeks, I can't see them moving him out for anything; he makes them a better team and gives them a better shot in the playoffs. Secondly, Edmonton doesn't have even the $3M to add a retained Matt Dumba, not if they want to have Evander Kane back this year; thirdly, Edmonton already has Cody Ceci, Tyson Barrie, and Evan Bouchard on their NHL team at RHD. While I won't disagree that Dumba might be better than some of those options, I also can't see them putting themselves in a bad cap situation for the sake of upgrading the right side of their blueline when it's their left side that has more depth issues.
-I'm not as high on Kuzmenko as you are. Guys just don't shoot 24% over an 82 game season when they're shooting the puck as much as he does (literally, the list of guys who've shot 24% is incredibly short) and I wouldn't want to give up a premium asset for a guy that has a big shot at regressing back to the mean - hell, even if winds up a 17% shooter this year (still very high!) it means that he's only got 6-7 goals left in him at his current shooting percentage. If *you* want to bet on him putting up an all-time shooting season, by all means, go for it - I just think it's setting yourself up for failure.</div></div>
I like you but you’re crazy! 😳

OEL just can’t make it work in Vancouver for whatever reason, that’s just how it goes… some players play good in some cities and some **** the bed, for whatever reason… Example - Christian Ehrhoff… San Jose he was Ok, Vancouver he’s an F’n all star and then Buffalo complete garbage
