Large Marner Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NJDevils1317</b></div><div>Maybe as a later option, but rather get McNabb as a better option first</div></div>
Oh yeah obviously I'd be looking at all options to see if I can find a better deal (and McNabb would be perfect).
But just saying in a vaccuum I'd 100% do this

I wouldn't mind it if the Sens move Chychrun and Branny and then add Dumoulin to gain some size on the 3rd pair.
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Tanev/DeMelo/Roy
Dumoulin/another big veteran that they could get for a mid round pick (TVR maybe, or Whitecloud would be great-although he would cost more)

Possibly right, but they have an abundance of plugs on there blueline, they need some studs. That forward group could be awesome with some patience and not too many roadblocks in front of the kids coming fast.

Carter Yakemchuk welcome to Ottawa
I'm not gonna be dead set against a kid, but I'm really not a big yakemchuk guy. Sens drafting an RHD who isn't BPA would be a massive miss in my opinion, although obviously we never know what guys will develop into. but just conceptually it'd be a mistake. gimme Zeev Buium over Carter Yakemchuk every day of the week

Theres a chance Eiserman or Catton drop but Dickinson still likely goes first so it's possible
Wouldve looked a lot better if they couldve lost today couple with mtl and az wins but have to hold out hope still

Everyone be wanting Brady but no one wants to give up anything for him
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>Teams wouldn't. Nobody is looking to massively shake up their core and overpay for Tkachuk.
If he requests a trade, he would fetch a package similar to eichel.
If he does not request a trade, no GM will waste their time trying to negotiate for Tkachuk. It's a waste of the GMs time, and you risk it getting out to the media and upsetting some of your most valuable assets.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>If the Canucks were to trade two very good-elite prospects in Lekkerimaki and Willander PLUS a 1st it would be to acquire a superstar player</div></div>
I'm not saying anyone is wrong.
Of course prying an asset away from someone is going to cost more than that same asset would run you from someone looking to move on. The fact of the matter is Brady doesnt want out of Ottawa and Ottawa has no intention of moving him. High prospects and picks would be a minumum, that's just the reality of it.

I wish our gm would at least pretend he wants more of this. We have a soft team that doesn't score on the power play. That's OK, I'm sure it'll all be OK if we ever make the playoffs, ya know, when the refs put the whistles away.

I have a distinct feeling that Anaheim's going Leshunov at the draft. I think we're going to end up 4th or 5th on the pick.
You're not wrong though.

A RD worth a 2nd on the trade market + a 1st + a 2nd would be satisfactory.

Santa came early this year
Ottawa should take that. Great deal for them. Adds that veteran leader they want, as well as a prospect with similar potential to Batherson. On top of that a 1st and 2nd.
Good deal for LA too. Batherson is on a very team friendly deal with term and is a current upgrade to their top 6.
LA should just run their current goalie combo. Talbot is playing great and Ritter is doing fine too

Fully agree, he's a great guy to have in the locker room and plays some good hockey, always seems to find himself in the right place at the right time on the ice.
I'm really disappointed with how Ottawa is playing this season, on paper they should be killing their division, there's got to be something cancerous in that locker room. There's enough young talent there that if they cut it out now the team will recover, I just wonder who is the problem currently.

JBD is not top 4 per se but I think he pairs well enough with Sanderson to make it workable. Not sure Forsberg is going to have a market after this season and I'm not really interested in dumping him with a pick, but if he sticks around and we run a 3 goalie rotation that might be okay.
Ideally yeah get rid of Forsberg and add another RD, just not sure how feasible that will be
