Terrible trade. This doesn’t solve our cap problems it just adds more cap, JP is 19 and RNH is 24 lots of time left for them to grow instead of trading for a declining winger in his 30’s

70 points last year and just turned 30. How is that declining? I’m not trying to justify the trade but am asking how he’s declining.

Does it have to be declining this year or just the general knowledge that by taking on this player...you'll be taking on a player that will be declining under your watch? And you're still going to have a $6.8M cap hit for 5 more years even when he will be declining.

This trade doesn't help EDM at all. They have a young core that will dominate in the very near future. Yamamoto and Puljujarvi are very young and need some time to develop.
