Not really sure that swapping Carrick for Miller represents all that much of an overall upgrade. In addition Vegas's roster problems start with the fact that they have 10 one way contracts on defence so must move at least 2 before 5PM and not likely to take back one. Babcock will never let Martin go!

You've overvalued Miller. And why would Avs give away their only back up goalie? Leafs have cap room so why would they giveaway Martin and try the unproven Rychel at left ing.

Not bad thinking, Pickard would be an upgrade on McBackup. Miller has brilliant fancy stats but he was very sheltered in his usage on a high possession team. To me, he's probably Carrick-level but it's a big unknown.

While I agree it's not enough I don't think Miller is there best tbh I think he's the third best behind Schmidt and Theadore

I don’t think it would take a 1st because they claimed subban off waivers and will not carry 3 goalies.
