            If we're retaining down to 2.5M then maybe a 3rd 2018 and a 5th any year.

okay... if I move Danault in another deal, I'll be ok with paying an 18 3rd and 2019 5th Chicago for Smith at 2.5M (750k retained)

Talking to my AGM about this, seeing if he has anything to say. Not saying we'll for sure do it, but we probably would.

Talking to my AGM about this, seeing if he has anything to say. Not saying we'll for sure do it, but we probably would.

sounds good... any chance you'd take a contract back? whether it be AHL or Gibbons (650k until the end of the season)?

We discussed a Brickly+ for Claesson deal before. You said you didn't want to do it.

So Bowers has been shifted down a couple categories, as I saw in your AGM thread. Shall we orchestrate a deal for him to be done at the draft?

I'm not gonna make any deals that are 'scheduled for the draft' but we can talk now. The reason he's been moved to 'don't want to have to move but could' is because there are some holes on the roster we may want to fill, mainly a 2RD. Ceci's a decent 2RD but we could maybe use an upgrade. Not making any agreements now though.

Well, at least we can talk now. Ryan Murphy played 2RD with Spurgeon injured; could I use him as part of the deal? He'd be way better than the abomination that is Ceci, after all.

I also see Colin White isn't listed anywhere. Is he "touchable"? If so, is he easier or harder to get than Bowers?

You were active during the deadline, which I was very happy to see. I hope you're active at the draft too!

idk if i see Murphy as being better than Ceci, and even if he is, he's not a for sure 2RD. We might package Ceci with Bowers (and maybe something else) for a 2RD.

I think we're likely gonna have a pretty big offseason.

About White, he's not on the list because below it says 'would move in the right deal: everyone else' ... he goes in that category. Right in the middle of the list.

Ceci is horrible; he's a 5v5 black hole and is a bottom pairing guy at best. I'm a Wild fan and I know what Murphy is like; he is a fringe top 4 RHD and would be an immense upgrade over Ceci, especially at even strength. Your middle pairing as it stands would get destroyed every single game; don't you wish it would get destroyed a little bit less? One pylon is better than two.

Ceci is a decent bottom pairing guy. He might even be a #4, but he's almost like a second-and-a-half pairing d-man. I could definitely use an upgrade over him, but even if Murphy's an upgrade there, he's still not really a 2nd pairing guy IMO ... he has that potential but i don't see him being that yet.

I see. Still, note that I wouldn't do just Murphy for White; I could fill another need for you maybe. Want Matt Nieto or Dmitrij Jaskin to patch up that 4RW spot?

To tell the truth i see Burrows as a decent 4RW, he's just not a 3RW. We got a 3RW so we don't need those guys.

Plus we have Gabriel Gagne that could potentially play 4 RW next year.

Uhhh... I don't even know what to say about that one...

Do you even watch the team that you're a GM of? (You're not alone, though; Cap doesn't follow the Avalanche either, and Max never followed the Rangers when he was around.) All that aside, though, any OTT fan will tell you how garbage Burrows was this year. There's a reason why he was waived and unclaimed at the trade deadline. What a waste of Jonathan Dahlen, though that's to be expected from the incompetent OTT front office.

Nieto and Jaskin are both rotting in the press box on my team b/c I have too many forwards. Either guy would make for a superb 4RW and even a fringe 3rd line winger for you. To boot, each guy can play both the right and left sides. (Truthfully; I'm not overselling them. Your squad just needs a LOT of help.)

That begs the question: besides 2RD, what are your other major needs? As long as it's not to outlandish (i.e. a 2C upgrade), I'd totally add it to Murphy to make it work.

The same Gagne that played in the ECHL? OTT is lucky they had another 2nd that year; Gagne was a swing and a miss, and Chlapik was an awesome pick.
