Unless Kappy sets some records in training camp, I don't see him bumping Connor Brown down the lineup and I don't see Hyman out of the active lineup after they just signed him to a 4 year contract and said he was one of their core players. I think Kappy will start the year with the Marlies since he is not eligible for waivers.

leafs really don't have a "8th" dman. assuming that dermot is the 6th Dman. their 8th Dman whoever that might be will likely get playing time in the marlies and at some time in the season will be a Leaf.
it's going to be interesting for the last forwards spots, kapanen, leivo, fehr, and soshnikov, just room for two.
