I think Laine is going to cost more. He won't get a first, and no top prospects, but a 2nd and a B prospect are probably right. Parayko rather scares me as an acquisition being already 31 and having 6 years left on his deal, that won't age well, also has a NTC. Colton's NTC also kicked in, he won't be leaving Colorado voluntarily.

Yeah NTC’s are the big if in this case. Parayko I hear you on but in terms of RD, I don’t see much else making sense for us. With cap going up the contract gets better, even if we only 3-4 good years. Thats enough in my book as we need to start pushing and surround these kids with talent and experience. So they too get that experience. Pay more for Laine we have the prospects/picks. And Colton is replaceable with another 3rd line C if he wouldn’t waive. But if he’s moved(rumored he will be) he’d have been a cap casualty two years in a row on good teams. He could welcome being a big piece in young and up and coming team with stability.
