Need a new owner. The Sabres right now are the NHL's feeder organization. Just exist to develop talent for southern teams to poach at 60 cents on the dollar so they can win and grow the game in those local markets.

Eventually the league wont need us to do this anymore since nobody will watch and a new owner will right the ship. But for now, its not worth getting emotional over.

In terms of money, yes. In terms of talent, no. Zucker will get moved at the deadline at 50% retained when the team is 7 points out of a WC slot.

The offseason is not over, but there's been more than rumblings that teams were not willing to trade with the Sabres because of their negotations not appearing to be in good faith and then players don't want to come here to a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 13 years.

Only teams they might make moves with are the teams over the cap, so Washington/Vegas/Edmonton, and there's no top 6 forwards being moved from those teams. Actually, Skinner will be playing top 6 there, so he can't play top 6 for this organization, but the Stanley cup runner up can use him in the top 6. Funny how that works.

Skinner buyout made zero sense. Only teams up against the cap should use buyouts.

They should have bought him out next year when it would be like 2.5M per year for 4 years. It's fine though, Terry must need renovations on his yacht to maintain his lifestyle this year.
