Columbus will demand more. Frankly, this will end up as a bidding war if they actively shop it and in interdivision trade will need to be a major overpay. While I like Farabee and his potential to be a long term guy as a top 6 winger, he doesn't fulfill any particular need while the Jackets have a major logjam of middle 6 wingers. Picking at 12 could land Eiserman or Helenius, but those guys are a couple tiers away from Levshunov, Lindstrom, or Demidov at 4.

Adding either a top center prospect, the other '24 first, or a handful of second and third round picks would get you to/near the top of the list for #4.

I agree, but I propose you take Farabee out of the equation altogether. Like I said: I like the player and what he does, but he's added to the overflow pile of middle 6 wingers in the Jackets org.. And at $5 million AAV and only averaging 40ish points a year playing second or third line wing, he just isn't worth what you think he is and he's worth even less to the Jackets who have too many of him.
