Both trades are quite lopsided against Seattle and the Kraken would never consider either one of them.

Columbus deal: Laine doesn't have anywhere close to this much value right now, especially without retention.

Buffalo deal: Seattle isn't trading Larsson anytime soon given his importance to their defense, and he has much higher trade value than Greenway. The latter doesn't really fill a need for the Kraken anyway, they have enough depth forwards.

Actually it does. Laine while has been injured is a very good player when healthy and his injuries have not been career altering just fluke ones. He has a risk but CBJ are not leveraged into dealing him bc regardless of Laine’s personal feelings, he has a contract and is obligated to honor it. If he wants out bad enough he can play this year for the CBJ and increase his chances. Otherwise, he is a Jacket.
