I don’t hate this offseason, but I don’t love signing Brodie— I think Kaiser and EDM both deserve a shot at the NHL this year— and the Devils fans don’t seem to think the trade is realistic. Toffoli, Joshua, and Stolarz are all fine signings, if unexciting.

NJD want to sign Pecse, and Marino had a down season I thought?… and you guys paid Ty Smith and a third for him. What am I missing that makes this an unserious offer? I get overvaluing your players but you can’t honestly believe that he’s worth a first round pick.

People get excited about shiny objects and constantly forget how many UFAs end up being mistakes. Pesce is good, but I'd rather not have a term guy with Casey in the wings. Can always trade Marino next year,

This is not a cap dump trade, that would be what Detroit did with Walman today.

Ideally, I would like more Connor Murphys on the hawks, especially since his issue isn't necessarily being better or worse than Marino, just being injury prone.
