Anaheim most certainly isn’t taking back Copp unless you pay up

There’s nothing there to make us even think about trading Z

It's crazy but if they take back Husso it's not as bad.

The OPs trade isn't needed.

Just simplify it.

Gibson for Husso, Bergy and a 2nd.

Detroit gets a vet goalie to bridge the gap for Cossa.

Ducks take Husso for a season and are then clear of Gibson's 6.4 mil the 2 years after.

I still don't think a Gibson to Detroit trade happens.

Yzerman and Verbeek are friends but they're both stubborn.

Yzerman won't want to give up that much and Verbeek will want more than what Yzerman is willing to offer. 😆

Yzerman said this in his presser yesterday.

He doesn't see himself giving up prime assets for a goalie.

Now I don't consider Bergy to be a prime asset but that's just my opinion.

Contrary to popular belief, Ducks don't HAVE to trade Gibson.

They don't need to move him at all. They're probably better off with him really

Exactly.

Ducks have plenty of cap space and Gibson is a good mentor for young Dostal.

If Verbeek gets an offer he likes then sure, Gibson can be traded.

But he's fine keeping him.

I'd pass on that deal if I'm the Islanders. Fabbri's 18 goals came on the back of a hard-to-sustain 18.6 shooting percentage, and even if you think he maintains that production, the money doesn't make a ton of sense for the Islanders. They currently have less than $6M in cap space for next year, so using $1M to swap the $3M Engvall cap hit for the $4M Fabbri carries would need a stronger upgrade, in my eyes. The 5th doesn't add enough value to count as an upgrade, and at this point McIsaac adds even less.

Gibson for Berggren, Husso and your 2025 second is fine if you want him.

Zegras is your 2024 first plus Nate Danielson, which Stevie isn't about to do.

@SharkTank's comments are perfect.
