10th overall not being sent out for a rental

I’m a big proponent of Shea Theadore and how’d he’d fit in NJ. But I’m curious what is out there that is worth 10th overall value wise in a trade?

It was the Chris Tierney signing that puts them over the top.

Doesn't sound like it would be going in rental.

But a scenario with 10th overall for Theodore + 19th overall could be enticing

You realize they have to pay Hughes next offseason right? Then Nemec the following year. McNabb would be the better get for NJ, since he hits,blocks and a vet vet.

Yeah I could see a pick swap happening there to make it more palatable. But straight up for #10, what’s out there that gets you anything more than a rental? Zegras, Ehlers, and Buch certainly would cost even more

Buch and Ehlers are rentals...neither are worth 10th overall (think Toffoli price for both).
That pick gets good young player with term, probably someone entering RFA....Lundell, Necas, Marchenko, Guhle, etc

Personally I hope they use it but Jersey doesn’t even have the space to add the salary of another star forward. They’d need to upgrade an active player by pairing them with the 10OA.. if there was a player out there for sale of value around Holtz & 10OA, they’d be as close to a game breaking player as you’d get (the Tkachuks of the world). Whoever the partner would be, the value would have to be close to that tier, even if NJ would need to add minor bits from there.
