You can have Trouba back, not Schneider

Rangers would be interested in Ehlers but Schneider getting traded would cripple our right side. We could work a Lindgren + 1st type package.

Schneider is really the only piece that works from the Rangers, so this should get Chevy talking.

Would you want him back? I really like him and think he is really talented. The problem I saw last year was they put a really fast guy with two slugs in Monahan and Toffoli. Good hockey players, but not the fastest. this forced Ehler's to get trapped skating in the neutral zone a lot waiting for those boys to catch up and by the time they did he would get the puck taken off him. I think he had decent stats when he played with Scheif though.

I am thinking more along the lines of how everyone (including NHL writers) thought Scheifele and Hellebuyck were all but gone, but ended up signing extensions. Plus Dubois to MTL was inevitable... until he landed in LA. Who knows what happens.

The Dubois to Montreal was hilarious. All we heard was Dvorak and like a 5th round was all we would get.

The capfriendly acgms were absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. The reporter angle was more measured with most saying MTL was the likely destination but I don't recall reading too many trade details at the time.

Could a Ehlers trade be worked out that includes Ehlers for his value then Trouba for Schmidt?

Absoutely. Monahan is probably gone, Perfetti's speed was not bad late in the season and the Jets will have another new 2nd line player. If it's Lambert, that 2nd line is gonna be so fast.
