Nah I'm very high on Kaprizov but Michkov stylistically is very close to Kaprizov, almost a Kaprizov Kucherov hybrid and looking like he will be better than both, not to mention he's 19 Michkov is worth more than Kaprizov

Lol. It's fine being hyped for a prospect, but Kaprisov and Kucherov are some of the best scorers in the league. How about waiting for Michkov to play an NHL season before claiming that he'll be better than both?

Fact is, some players can be outstanding in other leagues and end up not being able to put it together in the NHL, the toughest league. Or, maybe he'll get injured and it will impact his career. Until he proves it, he isn't worth more than Kaprisov, even including age. Kaprisov's contract isn't obscene for a 40+ goal scorer and he's already doing that in the NHL.

Seriously though, Kucherov just put up nearly 150pts, and you're claiming a prospect with a good D+1 year will be better? I don't even feel comfortable saying that Bedard will put up that point total.

You don't feel comfortable because your haven't scouted them for 3 years im not guaranteeing he will be better but everything indicates that he can be. Sure we need to see him in the NHL to have a real idea but given his ability and age with how cap management and protected status ties into value, yeah I do think Michkov has more value especially to rebuilding teams like Philly and Minnesota

No they wouldn't - dropping from 7 to 12 isn't a crazy drop in talent but they pick up a big physical shutdown D and a very good creative winger. They still get one of the high end prospects (top 14/15 are a tier above everyone else) and get better depth.

Plus if they truly have their eyes on 1 they can package 12 and 25 and move right back to as high as 8 OA based on pick values (12/25 is actually more valuable than 8 as per Puckpedia)
