When weighing this sentiment against a possible C corps consisting of Mercer - Catton - Poitras, figuring the goalie situation out in 2025 wouldn't be the worst idea in the world for the Bruins.

Bruins get younger and long-term C solution, their biggest needs taken care of.
Devils get an elite goalie long-term, their biggest need taken care of.

the bruins laugh u off the phone with that deal. take out the first and merk nd add in one of ur best prospects and that starts the convos. the bruins arent ok with moving sway so unless ur coming to the table with a deal so good they would be dumb to say they dont consider it. let alone take in the fact hes played great every year hes started games in the playoffs and been a top 5 goalie over the last 4 years. not to mention hes only 25.


The bruins have 2 decent young goalies with bussi and DiPietro who are both 25 and had back to back great AHL seasons, DiPietro used to be a great goalie prospect. It still doesnt justify trading a top 5 goalie whos 25 for a decent center and 10oa.
