Trading Jenner is an entire non-starter for Columbus. That’s an ownership mandate and there were rumors Jarmo was finally let go because he was inquiring about it. Carolina wouldn’t touch Elvis half retained for free, let alone letting him into a deal for Necas, who is not a 1C.
Not sure why Columbus would be interested in KK. They’re trying to compete, not play “hope this expensive longterm bust figures it out!” Alex Nylander was basically free.
Seems silly to make comments about spots for kids and Brindley being ready and then clog up the whole roster with outside acquisitions. I’m not sure why either side accepts this Laine deal, either.
The fourth line was the only functional part of the team last season except when Kuraly was out. That’s one area that genuinely doesn’t need fixing.
So… good attempt in the general sense but I’ve got serious nits to pick with the two trades.
