That's not getting you Marner. Leafs need more win now pieces. Crouse, McBain, durzi, Guenther, even Doan.

Draft picks aren't gonna do it when the Leafs window is now and you have so many good young players on cheap contracts

OK. Go ahead and keep Marner then, Utah will just sign in him the offseason and Toronto gets nothing.

Again Toronto is win now. You are giving 0 pieces that help them win now. You need to give atleast one player that has good potential to contribute (Guenther, Doan, McBain), and/or you have to give someone that can contribute (Crouse, smaltz, durzi). Haydon is such a what if, and is seriously close to bust category. His value isn't where you think it is.

Thanks for the picks I agree it's good/fair value there but I don't think it out the Leafs in a better spot than they are now after this trade. They waste a year of AM34s window here. Honestly with the 6oa you could probably do Hayton and a guy from the second group I mentioned and they'd do it.

Generally for a superstar (see Eichel) you get atleast a 1st, a prospect, and a solid roster player. I understand you deviated here but the trade doesn't fit the Leafs needs, it's not a matter of fair value.

Have a good night, buddy!

The previous town opted for a literal garbage dump over the team I'm not certain the infrastructure is there yet to lure him in lol.

I like Utah a lot, but I don't see any elite FA's signing at market value for a few more years haha.

They don't. There is a reason why the team has come out and said 'We're not trading him just to make a trade.' There are zero offers available that Leaf fans think is 'fair.'

You have the right to be wrong go listen to "Coyotes players that were at that event, talk to Jazz players they seem to love the area and ownership.

Eichel is better younger cheaper and signed long term an EICHEL comparison is typical Laffs fan delusion. Eichel is a center at the time 24 years old with 5 years @10 Marner 27 yo 1 year at10.9 a wing and is a pending UFA you're not getting an EICHEL return.

How can you call me delusional when you are hiding the fact Eichel was debating if he wanted to have a second neck surgery or not at the time. You think teams were jumping on him saying "oh ya! Let's pay massive for a guy who might me a quadriplegic next year!!" Obviously I'm being dramatic here but give your head a shake man.

Marner is superior than Eichel. He's had 5 seasons better than Eichel best. Say what you want about playoff performances but buffalo never made the playoffs so that is an irrelevant consideration.

It's an absolutely fair comparison. To say you don't think so just shows how little you watch hockey

Playoffs Marner .88ppg Eichel 1.14 l take the Center who goes from a .96ppg player regular season to the 1.14 ppg player in the playoffs when it matters over the the guy who is a 1.1ppg player in the regular season and .88 PPG player when it matters the most . Eichel 1 Cup Marner 1 second round game win.
