I still feel like we're missing it in nets though. Give it one more year and then Sogy will be ready for full-time NHL play. Definitely need a true starter and drop Korpi to backup.

Columbus declines. Laine's been out because of 2 dirty hits and mental health issues likely due to the unexpected loss of his dad. He's only got 2 years left on his deal. Norris has been out because of repeated surgery on the same shoulder and it's legitimately threatening his career. At 6 years left, that's a much riskier deal, and not the move CBJ should be looking to make.

The better option is to take the best offer you can get from a contender by retaining up to $2M on Laine.
