I don't think we have the same valuation of JK as sounds like the Canes want to move on and get out from 6 more years and Mikeyev is done in 2 and gives you speed and a forecheck to play in Rod the Bod's system

Canes openly don't want to move KK. He's 23, and has strong underlying numbers. Even last year in a down season, his xGF numbers were career highs. Miky is 29 and coming off an ACL injury as a pure speed merchant. His underlyings weren't great despite relatively high quality linemates. He's not worth it. You need to pay for KK, Miky is a dump.

He's 23 years old, with 40 point pace in consecutive seasons (would have done it if Wilson hadn't given him a dirty knee on knee hit the year before his 40 point season) and he's usually an ELITE defensive force. That is why teams will need to pay for him. Don't want to pay? You don't get him. No one is buying him out because he's worth is contract
