I don't think Boston actually has the pieces to pull of a Zegras trade.

What is the market for Zegras? This 1st and Carlo get it done? 1st and Geekie? 1st and Fredrick? Seems like they need some veterans, not prospects (they have plenty).

Trading Swayman is not silly, when you have 1 first line guy(Pasta). No draft picks. No stars in the minors.
Free agents and trading our only asset(Ullmark or Swayman) are the way to go.

He isn’t on the block, and you don’t trade highly promising, RFA controlled youth for veterans with a couple years left coming off a 3rd to last place finish.

Boston just doesn’t have the pieces for a Zegras trade

As a Kings fan, that's an easy "YES" for Swayman. With that said, Ullmark may be the better trade chip for Boston. Not thay he'd bring in a better return, but he's a UFA next season (I believe), also he's older. He, alone, should get you legit return.
As for Zegras, I think Boston can do better. Zegras is a defensive liability. His offensive skills are incredible, but that's his game. Necas may be the way to go.

Trading Swayman is utterly silly especially for that. I’d prefer not to slander Laferriere or the LA Kings 1, because they’d be interesting options for Ullmark if he waived.

Zehra’s is a # 1 center, and between the 2 Czechs you would have a powerful #1line. Also, a much better Power Play.

If not Zegras, who?
Necas-I would do , but not the playmaker Zehra’s is and might not be a center. Same issue on def zone as Zegras.

Lindholm(FA) -lot of $$$ for a guy who at most a 2nd line/ non PP guy. Also, older

Mercer-mostly unknown, could be a#1, but a bit of a prospect.

Other FAs -mostly 2nd line guys.

Bruins need to find Pasta a true playmaker at Center or wing.
