i think ducks and habs are in very similar situation. the a better prospect is worth more to them then a lesser prospect and a last first. Ducks decline for the same reason habs would be interested.

Kaliyev is available, but the Kings have no use for Harris. He'd be a healthy scratch on the Kings.

In order for a LHD to make the Kings, he needs to be better than either Anderson and/or Gavrikov, or bigger and meaner than Englund. Harris is neither.

Agreed both needs the same prospect. Even with a late 1st added, I don't see the Ducks going for it.

Well let’s say Lev is gone and the Ducks don’t want Demidov. You could very well have both of Lindstrom or Parekeh on the board at 5. I could see the ducks trading down with MTL if they don’t want Demidov at 3. But it would take more than just pick 26. Maybe add in another B level prospect?

Why risk it? If the Ducks want Lindstrom who’s to say Columbus won’t take them? Then the Ducks move down AND they lose the player they want. If the player the Ducks want is it their pick, just take the player rather than risk them getting picked.
