Description

This is literally not another Brady trade.

I don’t even know what to do with this roster. It’s hard to go competitive, and just as tough to justify tearing down, so I decided to retool. The retool would need to be very short term with a 1st rounder being forefittednin the future, and I think the team could come out of this without stinging too badly with plenty of dollars to play around with still

Feels like in hindsight what’s being sent to Toronto is a bit light, and NJ might need to pay a little more, but I don’t feel like changing the trade now for middle tier pieces, so just say what else might be needed and don’t be too mad with how off it is

Korpisalo is a cap dump and a significant negative value asset. Now look at what you think Giroux, with only 1 season remaining, is worth considering that. It's non-sense. You could remove everything from the Toronto side of that trade and it still wouldn't be enough to dump the 4 years remaining on Korpisalo. You show this in your AGM itself because it's not like you need the cap space. You are moving Korpisalo to upgrade at the position with a much cheaper Nedeljkovic.
