If seeing a better way to improve team construction makes me a hater, then sure.
For the record, I don't hate Mitch Marner. He's one of the most talented playmakers in hockey. But, time and time again, he's proven that he can't play under pressure. I'd rather see my team allocate 11 Million+ to players that will actually have an impact in the playoffs. For example, maybe extending Patrick Kane and signing Matt Roy/Chris Tanev. Or save the flexibility for when prospects need raises.

Don't mind me, just being facetious. On paper, it's great value. I just think that spending the excess cap on resigning Kane, or signing Matt Roy/Chris Tanev could get better results.

You can still resign kane even if you bring in marner at this price. Last year our depth in the top 6 was brutal, we were 2 guys short evertnight, mitch significantly changes that.

Axel isnt going anywhere imo. i see him as the next EK65. and id rather a D man who will help us win NOW not in the future when matthews in in his contract year again
