Jordan Harris would be a healthy scratch on the Kings.

In order for a LHD to make the Kings, he either needs to be A) better than Anderson and/or Gavrikov, or B) bigger and meaner than Englund. Harris is neither.

The Kings have high hopes for Turcotte. He's not going to be traded unless it's in a package deal for an upgrade.

Harris can play both sides. Great depth and good value contract. Capable to have a long NHL career.
Kings HAD high hope for Turcotte, get over it. He probably will not be an NHL player, only a top 6 potential which is not likely to happen.

That may be true about Harris, but he just doesn't fill a position of need on the Kings. He wouldn't crack the Kings' top six. He's definitely not better than Spence or Clarke to justify putting him on the right side either.

Turcotte has been fantastic when he has been healthy. The problem is that he hasn't been able to stay healthy. This past season, he finally was able to stay healthy down the stretch and looked really good, but was a cap casualty when Grundstrom and Arvidsson got healthy, and they had to send him back to the AHL. His coaches describe him as a "difference maker."

Turcotte is expected to play on a line with Kopitar this season. Much like Kopitar was able to do for Byfield last season, the Kings are hoping that he can help Turcotte have his breakout year.

Harris isn't a sufficient upgrade on either Englund or Moverare that we would give up either Kaliyev or Turcotte for him, let alone both.

"both" will most likely be out of the NHL in a few years. Maybe a change will help one of them.
Harris is at least a long term depth NHL defenseman, probably a main stay on a capable team
