Carolina want a star for Necas. This ain't that. Rental Ullmark doesn't have enough value for Necas

A Vezina winning goaltender does not qualify as a star? Who do you think the Canes are getting for Necas? They aren’t getting a Draisaitl tier star, nor are they getting a Brady Tkachuk tier star. Heck, they aren’t even getting a Trevor Zegras tier star for Necas. So not sure what your expectations are.

Before you say that Ullmark is not enough, let me tell you that I agree the Bruins would have to add picks and or Fabian Lysell to a deal for Necas. So yes Ullmark and a first or Ullmark and Lysell and a second is more realistic.

They'd get Zegras + for Necas, but that's a bad example because Zegras had 7 whole points last season. Ullmark isn't enough because he isn't a star goaltender. His playoff resume SUCKS, and Freddie was literally better across the board this most recent season.

I'd be willing to give Necas first shot at C playing with Zacha and Pasta. He is only 25 and could still develop as a C. More comfortable with this than giving Lindholm a long term deal.
