It was the draft pick that they later used to select Hamilton. He was never part of the leafs organisation.

He was picked with a pick they gave up in the Kessel trade. May as well include Seguin on here if that counts.

Hey, y'all, to clarify your questions, Hamilton was a draft pick that was part of the package deal in 2009 that sent Kessel to Toronto. I didn't include Seguin, the other, on this roster because there were some better and more obvious forwards, and I wanted to keep the team below the cap hit of $87.7M. Also, Hamilton could be a #1 defenseman on this team as Toronto has not given up many quality defensemen over the years.

Also, for those of you who said to add Tyson Barrie, I completely agree with you, but he is not signed through next year, so that's why I can't add him for the time being. If he was, he would DEFINITELY be on this roster. I may go back and make a few tweaks once some unsigned players will be signed. Other players who I haven't added for similar reasons that I might add later include: Kasperi Kapanen, Travis Dermott, James van Riemsdyk
