Description
Well, I'm not saying this is a realistic scenario. But, if I were Rutheford, I'd go all in and I'd do everthing to the historic 3peat.

Besides, Tatar and Theodore would be great players not justo for the present, but also for the future.

The trade can seems one sided in favor of Pens, but rebuilding teams like all these 3 want as many young players, prospects and picks as possible. Except for the rental Cole. But he's a very good d-man, amazing on block shots and PK. So, he could be traded by Vegas to a contender for picks and prospects, somenthing that could be easy, cause Cole is a cheap great rental d-man.

PS:

Future considerations of Tatar's trade: If he scores at least 30 goals next season, Wings will receive Pens 2020 3rd as an aditional pick.

First off, none of those trades are even close to fair.

Also, what is it with people on this site putting these crazy conditions on draft picks? When does that EVER happen?

Disagree. Maybe a bit less than the deserved, but they aren't far from the fair value of these players.

As for the conditional picks...what's more fair than conditional picks based on players performance!? I don't see any problem with that. In fact, I see that as a smart and fair way to a team get something even better in a trade than the original acquisition.

I don't agree with grovercleveland often, but he is correct, all these conditions don't happen in real life. The Tatar trade might happen, but other two, the Pens get the marquee player for NHL scraps. (although I have hope for Jarry. Vegas already has enough scraps via the expansion draft

Vegas isn't moving one of their best players from the expansion draft that is young, controlled, and good.

I said in my explanations that this scenario is not realistic. My team won't make all these trade. At most a trades for Henrique.

Although the conditional picks don't happen often in real life, if I were a GM, I'll change that, cause picks based on future production makes much sense. Specially when involves young players. As I said, it's a smart way to get something even better and fairer than the original trade.

Everything can evolves. This includes things about all the sports. Including hockey. So, why not change that and use more conditional picks, specially in young players and prospects trades? Then the trades could be fairer and less gambling than nowadays. It's just my opinion.

As for Vegas...well, I think their strategy is have no strategy. Most of their trades makes no sense to me. They acquired picks, but in most of them they traded good players for peanuts.

This is why I'd propose that trade, If I was Rutheford.

Yeah well Tatar isn't on the block now, Had he signed only a one year deal instead of four years then maybe. But any ways Detroit doesn't do it.

You're probably right. But it worths the try to acquire him. The second option would be Nyquist. I think Wings probably would be more willing to trade Nyquist than Tatar, after re-sign Tatar.

Nyquist's trade value would be easier to achieve than Tatar's.
