NSH has to add way more before the Leafs even consider.

Zadorov and Hakanpaa would be replaced by Stastney and Ufko, respectively.

I believe Saros + 1st is fair. I would of course love more though. Saros + 1st + 6m in cap space would be the minimum in my mind.

Really don't understand why Leafs fans think they will receive a large return for Marner right now when he can veto any trade, essentially picking any team to go to, if any. His playoff performance was terrible this year. I guess he'll make sure NSH get into the playoffs again? Are we basing it on comps?
Saros on the other hand does not have a say, but would be Toronto's best goaltender since.. I don't even know. Opens up Cap for the Leafs

Value is irrelevant. This trade doesn't make the Leafs better than they would be if we kept Marner. That's just my opinion.

Value is irrelevant? This is a trade.. Value is the only thing that matters. If you keep Marner, congrats, another Game 7 loss to Boston.

Goaltending would certainly be better but then Leafs had trouble scoring. I also think Leafs should keep Marner for now

You're probably right, and from the Preds, our team and organizational greatest depth is at wing. Paying 11 million for a scoring winger when you have Colton Sissions as your second line center doesn't make sense, and I think a Saros for Marner trade really doesn't help the Preds in the grand scheme of things. Is Marner worth a haul.... sure he is to me at a 8million AAV....at 11...meh. I'd pass and throw the bulk of that money to Stamkos in UFA, and then the Preds don't give up assets and actually fills an organizational need.

Because Mitch is a 90+ point scoring winger with selke defence, he had one bad season (still over a point per game) & bad playoffs after being over a point per game the previous 2 years, The NMC is the only hurdle to really jump over & even that is small one if he’s willing to waive, asking for one more asset or two is not far fetched especially if Mitch comes with an extension, imo it goes the Eichel route

1st,B+/A Prospect (Idk who that would be) & a roster player (in this case Saros)

that is not an extreme far fetched concept especially with the way Goalies are usually valued in trade

OK Eichel comp does make sense, except he didn't have the NMC at the time. Saros is more than a typical roster player... He's a top goalie. But you convinced me, assuming with extensions I can see Saros + 1st.
