Got to think this makes sense for the Pens getting out of Karlson's contract as it didn't work out and putting JT on Crosby's wing would make too much sense to me. This gives us a d man wo can run the Powerplay. The Calgary deal also is massive for the Flames as they get to rebuild their offense and still have plenty of picks after the deal. Getting a bonified superstar to replace Chucky and some depth to replace what was lost in the deal.

not at all, I think Anderson is nice but he's not worth a game breaker like Marner, they have the new Arena coming and could use someone that would fill the seats. Janrock and Coleman are a wash player wise and they get two decent young players.

I mean sure these trades are never likely to happen but I wouldn't be shocked if you seen something like this.

Delusional. Marner is entering a contract year, you think he's going to waive to a team where his production will drop by 20+ points? Also Marner is not a game breaker at all otherwise he wouldn't be getting kicked out of Toronto. Calgary isn't getting their new arena until 2026, and renting Marner doesn't do anything for that. I wouldn't trade 9th OA for Marner alone. Lastly how are Coleman and Jarnkrok a wash? You have Calgary retaining on Coleman for multiple seasons and Jarnkrok is on an expiring contract

Man, Leafs fans are delusional. Marner wouldn’t bring back Andersson alone. He’s overpaid and overrated. We already have Huberdeau, we have no need for Marner. Then there’s the picks which are the worst parts of the trade. A top ten pick + the pick that’s going to save our ass next season is brutal. Then there’s the other guys that just relieve cap space for the Leafs and take up the newly freed cap from us. Nah, go back to the drawing board man.
