Kane Tavares Carrier Blueger

Description
Detroit and Kane are still match made in heaven.
Toronto cap dumps Tavares and it helps Detroit to keep Danielson and Kasper next season in Grand Rapids.
Slowly bringing young guys up.
Carrier 3 year deal to RD spot until Sandin-Pellikka is ready.
Blueger to help bottom 6 and shorthanded unit.

I know this might not be very realistic, but I could go to next season with this team.
Not sure what the real cost would be on those deals, but..
Give your own fixes and ideas.

I'm quite certain that Carrier will get a better offer than that. Likely upwards of 3.5 to 3.75mil with some term (4-5 years) if I were to guess. Could be wrong but he was pretty in-demand around the deadline which suggests he'll have suitors.

Well, I won't argue too much in that case, but there are some WILD takes in there.

    Zucker getting 5.4 * 3
    Gustafsson getting 5 *3
    Debrusk getting 6 * 5
    Trenin getting 3.3 * 3
    Monahan only getting 2.9 * 3

Even if the numbers are based on predictions from January, that's a lot of cause to take their numbers with a big helping of salt.

A 7th isn’t enough to get the Hawks to take Fabbri. Kane supposedly want term in his next contract, if true 2 years doesn’t cut it.

If 7th is not enough, what would be enough?

Yeah, there are rumours about this and that, but I just put contract straight from Servalli's list.
If Kane liked playing in Detroit, I think Yzerman can armwrestle those terms or even better for Detroit point of view.
It seemed DeBrincat's and Kane's families were pretty close and Detroit looked good fit for him many other ways too.
If he wants to compete for the cup or go back to Chicago, Detroit is out of the race.

So Detroit trades a 2nd for a rental and then trades prospects and picks to dump cap to keep that rental...

And that rental has led his current team to zero success lol.

What would be the right price for Tavares trade if it happened?
And there are many players who have found success and won the the cup when they have left the cursed Toronto.

There is only one prospect and Detroit will soon find it self in situtation where they have too many prospects.

Do you think Detroit should just keep Määttä, Fabbri and Holl until their contracts end?

There really is no "Right price". Whatever cap space we have after signing Seider and Raymond (and hopefully Kane) should be used shoring up the RHD.

Not to mention the dude is a ****ing ghost come playoff time. 24 points in 38 games and -9 in Toronto.

Hawks decline. Gonna take more than a 7th to take on Fabbri.

The whole Toronto is ghost come playoff time😅
Just thinking if it seems that Detroit isn't making playoffs at trade deadline, they could easily trade him and retain 50% of Tavares contract and get late 1st rounder + prospect.

But yeah, good RHD would be great, but there aren't many that wouldn't cost princess and half the kingdom.

Yeah, but who's their captain that apparently has repeatedly failed to motivate them when it matters?

He makes 4M, hasn't played a full season ever. At least a 3rd. But the Hawks don't need more mid round picks. They would rather package picks to trade up and just over pay a UFA for 1-2 years.

    Thank you for the answer!
There too much answers just: No

He is very very good player when he is healthy.
    Sadly broken too much.
Starting his last contract year, so next season will be very big for his whole future career in NHL.
He will be motivated, but the injuries are real fear.

I actually don't think the Hawks would have that much interest in acquiring Fabbri. They need help at C, not on the wing, in their middle 6. Plus, as discussed already, the injury issues.

I not trying to be a jerk but I think it would take more than the Wings would be willing to pay to take him on. Hawks have a lot or draft picks/prospects in the pipeline. They will only develop if given ice time to learn. Blocking them with a player like Fabbri seems self defeating to me.
