1. the NYI trade is bad imo. For starters Pelech has been with the Isles is entire career, so not sure it's a system issue. The pens are also getting a player that's a year older and 1.25M more expensive, so a straight swap is awful. Pens lose out on that.
2. CGY isn't going to take that.
3. I'd rather move Acciari, keep eller as 4C and put Ponomarev on the wing.
4. Sam Reinhart isn't signing in pittsburgh, and plenty teams beat that deal. FLA can most likely beat all deals purely with the benefit of no State income tax.

Tough to say if CGY or NYI would take those trades - but I'd take this team for sure. Can Sharangovich play C full time? I didn't pay attention much to his time in CGY outside of knowing he had a great season.

Also, I'd kill for a Shenderovich, Shenderovich and Fishman commercial with Sharangovich

massive over pay on Sharangovich. He's had one season.

They aren't trading Broz. They just signed him.

I'd rather keep Graves than Pelech. Pelech can't stay healthy.

46 30 59

So he's basically had 1 break out season and you are willing to over pay for him.
Meanwhile you'd chase out a guy like Smith who in a bad year put up 40.

It's an over pay.

Sharangovich is much much younger so yes I'd rather move out Smith. Shar has even more potential than he has shown. In his first year in the league he had 30 in 54 ok pace for 45. Had 46 the next year. Got a bigger role with Calgary and put up 59. He had the opportunity to get better and he did. This is a "one year" thing. He started his career pretty good and then got better when he got a bigger role. Hes a 40-60 point player and again still super young. Could maybe drop one of the 3rds but a 2nd, 3rd, and prospect is fair value for him. Not to mention hes on a pretty cheap contract.

Here I thought 25 year old 30 goal scorers don't grow on trees, and would bring back at least a mid 1st + 2nd.

Especially, since Yegor is only making $3M next year, and has room to grow his game.

As for Sharky playing Center. He did okay, but Huska mentioned that he liked him better on the wing in the season end interviews.

and you don't think Smith has more potential than he showed?
I hate to break it to you if he was worth all that he wouldn't have been traded for Tyler Toffoli with NJ having to add in a 3rd.
You want to pay based on one break out season. No thanks
