Ya I am a bit hopeful on the Raymond signing, and the cap dumps. Raymond probably be around 7.5-8X7 Husso was a back-up goalie before we got him and look what he got. Take a look at his stats and advanced analytics and I think you'd believe he's worth it.

I don't know why people have such a hard time with this concept, but CHI is not paying for Fabbri. I know you are using Beauvillier as a comp, but that was a desperate move because CHI needed NHL players after they had a mountain of injuries pile up.

Wings can get a pick for Maata. That deal seems ok. Holl takes more than a 5th to dump. At least a 3rd, maybe a 2nd. Fabbri and Husso won't get picks back either. Wings lukely attach picks to move both of them. Future considerations at best.

Holl doesn't cost that much to dump. At face value yeah, his contract is ****. But the buyout is so light that you would never pay that to move on from him.

To me, if you're Detroit, you try to find somebody who will pay very little (Or take him for free) with retention just to avoid eating the extra two years of buyout cap hit. If you can't, just eat the buyout cap hit. There will be several ELC players on the roster in that time.

If Stevie is trying to move out Holl's full cap hit, then yeah, it definently takes at least a 3rd. Hawks wouldn't take him without a 2nd attached.

But yeah, buying him out or retaining on him works too.
