Hello again. Been super busy in the real world but wanted to log back onto the Internet to give my thoughts on this year's team and how we can move forward.

Thoughts on This Year:
1. My expectations were never really that high this season. Making the playoffs was good enough for me, and I would've been upset if we missed it. Sucks that it had to be little brother to knock us out but oh well.

2. Forward depth was an issue. Kucherov obviously had his insane season but he could've used a better supporting cast offensively. I really hope we can keep both Stamkos and Duclair because that's a nasty top-6 if we can.

3. I don't like our defense. Cernak in particular I felt didn't play well, at least late down the stretch in this series. He's been our only quality RD for a few years so I wouldn't be opposed to moving him if it means getting an upgrade, or at least keeping Stammer. Maybe JBB goes bargain hunting.

Moving Forward:
1. Keeping Stamkos is very much possible. It obviously depends heavily on trading Jeannot/Sheary, and how much the cap goes up by, but you can see below that I think it can be done even if we also...

2. Keep Duclair, if we can. He completes what is a comparable top-6 forward group to what we had in recent years.

3. I'm excited to see if Dylan Duke can make an impact. We definitely could use some youth.

4. Do not go anywhere near Matt Dumba. Genuinely some of the worst hockey I've ever seen from a Lightning player in a while.
