genuinely curious about the surprising amount of ACGMs that have traded for Malenstyn. Don't get me wrong I think he was a perfectly serviceable 4th liner this year but surely there would be someone in the Devils' system or in UFA that could do a similar job. Even if you just love the Caps' 4th line specifically NAK is right there for the taking!

I also wouldn't miss Casey too much if we wanted to move him to a rebuilder as part of a package for G, D, 3C, or top-6 winger. I'm not really sure how Casey fits into the long-term plan given our current defensive core.

In this scenario, we trade Marino for one year of Larrson, and spot opens up in 2025-26 for Casey.
