Ik this is gonna sound kind of weird but bear with me.

Jack Quinn is the least available player in the league lol. The Sabres love him

What is Montreal trading?

Unless we are adding a player, it’s probably unlikely we move Holtz while he is still on ELC. Last year, it’s sounds like he may have been included in some goalie trade scenarios. Other than a goalie, Devils need a young, defensive LD and 1-2 heavier bottom-six forwards.

About the Jack Quinn option, a very popular Montreal journal (Le Journal de Montréal) made an article about somes young players that the Habs can target, and one of them was Quinn. The reason of why they decided to put him there it's because of all his injuries that he have since he was in the NHL, and they thinks that Buffalo can decide to get rid of him because of that (just like what the Hawks did with Dach......).

That's isn't a rumour, that's just an idea.

If that's happen, Montreal can make two trades : one for a pick in the top 15 with a package who include the Jets pick, and they trade the pick in a package for Holtz.

But I don't see NJ doing that.

I guess they can target any player in the league but Quinn is definitely not available at the moment.

I don’t see NJD doing it as Holtz is still on ELC. I would think they would want to fill some holes if they moved him.

Guhle would be my ask. Other than that, I think a futures package that we would flip for pieces elsewhere.

Guhle, is absolutely off the table and has way more value than Holtz, Guhle for Mercer is fair, for Holtz you are looking at one of Harris or Struble + a 3rd.

Holtz and Guhle are closer than either Mercer or Struble/Harris. Maybe Devils addd a pick, but if Kent asks for Holtz, that would be legitimate ask.

LMAO, you want Guhle it's 1 for 1 for Mercer, otherwise go pound salt! Guhle would already be your 2nd best LHD (almost forgot Hughes was done college lol)

Montreal papers always think every Sabers is available all the time for trades just to get view they said the same thing about Levi last year and in the fall.

I agree that Mercer for Guhle is fair value but if you think Harris or Struble+3rd=Holtz you are beyond help
