Why wouldn't you just play him at RW? As I recall, he's quite offensively gifted. Seems like he'd be an ideal 3RW instead of playing Palat on his off side

Philly may need a goalie, but that is only one spot up. Buffalo could be an option. Devils are likely in mix. Calgary and Seattle are doubtful. Would Ottawa want him back?

We do need another veteran defensive option. But the point is that Casey is not as locked off the roster as others think.



He is an elite skater, ran the most successful power play in NCAA history, was used as defensive dman on world junior team, played LD in juniors and has even started a game as 1C for Michigan. If anyone in our system could make that switch, it’s probably him. (Although I’d put him at LW).
