Fair points, I guess I'm higher on the Devils than most, with a healthy team and a true #1 goalie I could lowkey see them winning the division. A top 10 pick is great, but it also comes with a lot of risk. Personally I'd rather find a surefire way to fill a desperate need when the future of the Devils' forward/defense core already look pretty solid.

I'm literally a devils fan they don't need Markstrom at a historic overpay why waste a premium asset on such a fickle position when the window is just opening.

Don't be ridiculous the original offer from NJ wasn't just Holtz. It was Holtz + Casey + NJ 2024 1st for Marky with retention.

But you go on believing that. Go look up what San Jose Fans had coming their way for Timo Meier last year. Then look at the return. They did good but NO WHERE NEAR what their fanbase expected. Did Conroy try and get another Lindholm trade, sure! But Fitz was never going that away.
