Pinto is definitely the 2C. I think he'll be a 60pt defensive C by next year if he gets a full season. His two way game is so good. Also I think they'll bring in another winger, but they shouldn't bring in two. Greig is better suited to being a winger, and they need a veteran C, they're too young down the middle.

Also running it back with that 4th line and goalie tandem isn't good at all. Keep Kelly because he's great, but the other two can be upgraded for cheap. Team is going nowhere with those goalies.

Canes pass. Norris is fine when he plays, but I'm not sure he's worth his contract and he's never healthy. Chychrun doesn't do anything for Carolina. Ottawa don't have anything interesting for a Necas deal.

Agreed on pasing on Norris and Chychrun...but Batherson though.

We'd rather keep Batherson for 2M$ less than Necas whos also better than Necas.

Batherson is a downgrade from Necas. Just doesn't make sense to do

To add on to what other fans have said, I don't think Pesce signs for 5x5 in Ottawa. He was reportedly offered that contract in Carolina and turned it down.
