Détails additionnels:
I'd assume in this set of circumstances that TK would be extending in Anaheim long term.

The reality is this: I think TK is going to be too expensive for the Flyers to justify extending with Michov on the way and Foerster looking incredibly promising. As for Frost, I think he could and probably should be a big part of the future moving forward, but I don't think the fit is there with Tortorella, and after a contentious year I think the organization finally moves on from him despite him having a great season.

Having said that, I don't think it makes sense to go hunting for draft picks for them, they need high end talent and they need it fast. Zegras is really the only option on the market that can be a potential top-6 Center for them long term, so they jump the gun and do this while they can

I really don't get this sentiment that Torts is someway bad for the team and needs to be fired. Sure he isn't perfect. but he has done a lot of good for this team already. How has he worn out his effectiveness when he just took the team from the bottom of the league, nearly into the playoffs?

Agree with you. But here my opinion on Torts. Once things start going poorly, Torts will have the knives out on his players. And he will comment publicly about it. That's his way of doing things. Blaming players, especially young players in public. He just can't handle adversary. Any decline in expectations and Torts will be met in this usual unprofessional manner.

Torts has a tendency to blame the players more than himself when things aren't going that well, but the reason why things aren't going that well is most likely because players aren't playing up to their expectations or up to his standards. When they had their 8 game losing streak at the end of the season he didn't come knives out on the players, he criticized some players and pretty righfully so, but focused on the team as a whole rather than going after indivitual players. Some might call it unprofessional how he talks about his players at times, but the way I see it is that he is not going to sugarcoat things and will just say things straight as they are.

Is Turcotte waiver eligible next season? Sort of the difference between agreeing with you or thinking that this is a significant overpay

Hmmm. I don’t think so to be honest.

Alex Turcotte is waiver eligible next season. Turcotte is also no longer an AHL player. He has been really good for the Kings while he's been healthy. The problem is that he can't stay healthy.

If he is healthy, he'll be in the NHL lineup, if he's not, he'll be on LTIR. There's no risk of losing him to waivers.

I don't think the Kings are looking to shop Turcotte right now. With Byfield's extension looming, I think they're looking for as many inexpensive skilled players as they can find for the bottom six. Thomas, Turcotte, and Laferriere will all be on the squad next season. Helenius and ****emo will get a good long look as well.
